Course Curriculum Overview

3

I wanted to take Btech-CSE due to my various plans, now talking about the curriculum the most irrelevant subject in my opinion is EVS and most of my friend think the same and to be honest I dont think that it will help me in any field, it might help me with moral values and environmental betterment but won't help me in any other areas of my career. I think instead of adding subjects like EVS they should introduce some more workshop classes and competitive or any other programmes to help us to boost our skills. I think the timing for exam is not an issue atleast for my case its not an issue but in exams like maths it is a barrier as most of the time I solve the questions with having time on my mind due to which I often rush while solving questions.

Internships Opportunities

3

I don't really have much idea about internship yet but when I started here as a fresher which I still am I got many offers which are mostly fake and scams but if the internship has been offered by the college then its real. I recently talked to a BCA senior of 2nd year who also had his internship as he had an IOS specialisation he also got paid internship here.

Placement Experience

4

From 3rd semester onwards students start getting places or may give some interviews regarding campus placement. With the reference to the brochure companies like Google, Blackrock,Deloitte, Dell, Gordrej, pwc, KPMG, etc. have visited this university but I haven't witnessed any placement for btech yet but I have heard that for BBA or maybe MBA blackrock have recruited some students for interview and 3-4 haev passed. The percentage of students getting placement is around 70% but it might vary with the increase in number of students enrolling. My plans after getting degree is to start a startup in which I'm already planning and working and I hope it succeeds.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for B-tech- cse (CORE) is rs 2,00,000 yearly and for btech cse couses with specialisations like L &T it is 2,50,000 per year, with IBM it is 2,50,000 and with IOS it is 2,50,000 and so on. Scholarship is based on Jee percentile,CUET percentile and Class 12th's aggregate percentile respectively for btech courses which will be applicable for the first year only and from the next year it will be solely on the basis of your CGPA which should be more than 7 cgpa. Solely on the basis of Jee percentile the scholarship is as follows: for 96-100 percentile its 100% scholarship 86- 95 percentile its 40% 76-85 percentile its 30% 71-75 percentile its 25% 66-70 percentile its 20% 60-65 percentile its 10% scholarship. on the basis of CUET percentile: 95 above its 40% scholarship 90-94.99 its 30% 80-89.99 its 20% 75-79.99 its 10% scholarship on the basis of class 12th board percentage: 96 and above its 100% 90-95.99 its 50% 86-89.99 its 30% 76-85.99 its 20% 65-75.99 its 10% scholarship and there are many more scholarships on the basis of sports performances, Matyr's scholarship etc. The fees is increasing year by year like when I joined this university this year the btech core fee was 1,84,000 but now it's 2,00,000 so it's definitely increasing year by year.

Campus Life

4

Till now no such big fests or events have happened but there is a freshers on 24th of oct but there have been some events like events for socialising including debate competitions, omen gaming event, hackathons (SIH), tech events etc. There are a lot of books in the library related to the subject with their reference books, there are many biographies and autobiography as well as books with financial knowledge as well as communcation and practices. There are many sports opportunities like recently there was a badminton tournament here and there are clubs here too for sports and as wells as for music, dance, drama, psychology etc. I haven't really talked much with seniors but I have seen a few and one were the senior member of event management club and when I asked him about he manages his time to do both of those things he answered that it was simple as it was his therapy to reduce the burnout from his daily hectic schedule and also helps him to get attendance as he is also managing the event.

Hostel Facilities

3

I live in double-double occupancy which have cooler in it. It is basically a big room which is divided into two and both side there are two beds each to sleep. The quality of meal in hostel's mess is fine and good sometimes it's not that bad unless the dish is something I don't like. The menu gets changes every weak or so. registration process is also simple that you just have to fill the hostel form given by your counsellor or any staff and get your documents ready for hostel and the day of registration get you hostel registration done too and the rooms will be allocated on the basis of first come first serve. The locality is great too if we rent a room or PG but I would suggest to rent a room with your friends because living alone is tough as a fresher.

Admission

I think this college is better than the other colleges I had applied to in terms of infrastructure, faculty and all. I had applied in NIET, KCC and Galgotias but I decided to stick with this college only because of the faculty here and the infrastructure. I got no rejection from any of these colleges for btech cse but in NIET they were giving me Btech CSE integrated with Mtech. The admission process is really simple which is eirther direct admission on the basis of you class 12th marks or jee percentile etc which you can do by registering in their website then get a counsellor and then you will get call from the counsellor sooner or later and you can ask him regarding the admission and brochure and all which will have all things regarding the admission process regarding the college scholarship info and then you can do further things. There is an exam too which you can give and it is really easy. I was enrolled based on my class 12th marks.

Faculty

4

The faculty here is really friendly and ready to help if the student are curious about a particular subject or topic and also there are IT trainers which are industry trainers who are basically free lancers which are ready to help you with anything you want and will make you industry ready and will give you in depth knowledge about programming. For me the IT trainers are the best faculty here because they know what is trending nowadays and what the market really need right now and I have also interacted with an IT trainer before and he guidede me about what I need to do and what I was doing wrong this whole time. I particularly don't really hate any faculty here because all of them are really cool in doing whatever you want regarding academics or starting something new. There are two exams in one semester one is mid sem and another one is end sem. The mid sem is generally easy if you have studied, in my class more than more than half of the class have failed in maths and the reason is simple that college is new for us and we were just enjoying our life like nothing else and then suddenly mid sems were up on our head and became hard for us to complete whole lecture of maths just the day before exam. Talking about relevency, the most irrelevant subject I found is EVS which is really irrelevant and unnecessary.

Students typically become eligibilty for campus works to bring companies and prepare students through training sessions, mock interviews, and aptitude classes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum for tech branches still need to be improved as many important courses are not taught due to lack of faculties. The college still lacks necessary required labs for many branches which can give students hands on experience and make them industry ready. The exam occours timely as mentioned in academic calendar and are moderately difficult.
