Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course is very old as no syllabus is update still having subjects like punjabi english and environmental studies with zero relevance with course and first year don't have single technical subject. Teaching method is also very poor. Exams are taken twice a semester mid sem and end sem

Placement Experience

2

Students become eligible from 7 sem but usually get placed in 8 sem abd also with very low packages in service base companies. average package is 5 lakh snd and highest usually goes to 8 lakh. No internship opportunities are provided to students

Fees and Financial Aid

odd semester fees: 85000 even semester fees: 55000 total fees of whole course without hostel:560000 scholarship is provided to all sc and st students which can be upto 100% for most of students.no merit base scholarship is provided but once you have paid fees no other charges will be there in name of exams labs etc. boys girls ratio is 2:1

Campus Life

1

No technical or cultural fest happen every year and if happens sometimes it is just like school function. Library provide wide range of books. No clubs or groups are there which is very bad thing as student get nothing new to learn. no facilities in classroom only white board is provided. Very old infrastructure with no paint done on walls

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel is very good with spacious double occupancy rooms are good cooperative staff.Mess food is good but there are too many mice in mess and hostel. Too much strictness of time as you are not even allowed to roam in campus after 6 and no deliveries can be taken after 6 lead to loss of money hostel fees is 20000 without food

Admission

I applied to chitkara and punjabi university patiala but choose this over them because many people told me it has better placements but i think it's not true as last year only 15 students were placed out of 100.

Faculty

2

Very less faculty but very cooperative all are phd but come to class only twice or thrice a week or less. Bad labs no equipments available and you can't access them after 3.30 making it difficult to study. Exams are quite easy and you can get good score by just using previous year paper

Other Applied Colleges

Chitkara University - [CU] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Artificial Intelligence]

Because if high fees and bad placement

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
