The teachers are very supportive and of kind nature
Core branches faculty are highly knowledgeable here

Dislikes

The teaching quality is not upto the mark because of following the same previous curriculum from 2000's.
The support for placements is not provided upto that level by college authorites

Course Curriculum Overview

Course and Curriculum is really bad , because you are going to learn the same previous technologies as our 2015 batch seniors are studying . You will get all the required subjects in your curriculum .

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 95000 per year

Placement Experience

The placement strategy followed by college is not good. Students are approaching the companies , college alumani can be there to help but that opportunity is not really utilized . There only 3-4 faculty alloted to Placement cell .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of our college is considered to be average. 1. Yearly tution fees for General and OBC category goes upto 95k 2. Yearly tution fees for SC category with Post Matric Scholarship go upto 30k 3. Yearly tution fees if you get tution fee wavier scheme it goes only upto 35k

Campus Life

Yes , campus life is enjoyable here . You can get opportunities to participate in sports , Gym activities and enjoyable environment here . Campus having well structure library hall and other seminar cells.

Admission

This is college is best if you didn't able to get seat in NIT's , IIT's , GFTI's and not able to afford high budget private colleges. This college provide decent knowledge and placement with affordable fee structure.

Faculty

I am Computer Science student , I found my some of teachers are good but majority are lacking the current updates about the technology they are just following the same textbook style teaching. There will be 2 mid sem exams in every semester than proceed with the final end sem exams .

An honest look at campus

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro,cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed.The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

SLIET longowal has well structured curriculum as per new education policy with well structured labs. to prepare for real world, college provide funds for startup and also motivate students to gain industry exposure. Many improvements can be done in curriculum like integration of cutting edge technologies, smart board, digital labs. There are three exams per semester two minors which take place in month of august and september and major or end sem exam in month of october, the timing of exam was from 1 pm to 4 pm. the difficulty level of exam is moderate

Placements in lovely professional university is decent and dont know much about it as i am in 1st year only but there were mandatory Placement classes for all which you need to select in 1st year only for which you need to pay extra 20k for the classes.

Remarks:

Good staff are very nice and supportive nature. There are not any faculty problem. Functions are organized in a very large scale which is very good. Ragging are strictly banned in college which is very good for fresher students. BAD: lack of equipment and machines in labs. Lack of practical knowledge for students.

1) I only applies to Guru nanak dev engineering college ludhiana and Lovely professional university Phagwara . Review about my college

For taking admission in this college you can take admission on the basis of your board exam marks. You can get admission if you have minimum 40% marks in your board exam as well. For taking admission in CSE or IT branch you should have atleast 85% or more marks scored in your board exam. If you are from home state you might get reservation benefit. In this college 85% seats are reserved for home state students and rest 15% for other students as well as for home state. For taking admission in GNDEC then first you have to passed out 12th standard from any Board. to fill the form , you can check out gndec portal there you can apply for you indivisual course , and the application fees is arround 1500 rupees. if you are belongs to punjab then there are several benefits of reservation....Read More
