- Campus because we have lots of tree. Campus is greener
- Laboratory facilities, we have lab imac labs
- Free transportation, collage provide transportation from campus to Vellore.
Dislikes
- Staff, most staff have PhD s but they act like they don't know anything
- Food, whole campus is vegetarian and we only have limited options
- Infrastructure, 2024 they admitted lots of students and they don't have enough classrooms
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is bit outdated and can be improved cause we are learn outdated technology. We should have new courses teach about generative ai or web 3.0. I feel like exam should be in mcqs because when it is in MCQ it forces student to student everything and understand it properly.
Placement Experience
Generally placement are good in my college. We have placement percentage of 90% or more. Average package around 4 lpa and Max package 24 lpa. Placement started from 6th semester. Famous companies that hire from rec are ibm, Amazon, Zoho, Wipro, Infosys, TCS. My plan is to get placed in decent company through placement
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fee was 190000 and we have to pay extra exam fee for each semester which around 2500. We have caution fee which is 50 for days scholars and 100 for hostelers for each semester. Then extra lab damage fee only if u broken anything in lab, they will just note you name and damage amount will be add in your exam fee.
Campus Life
Rajalakshmi Engineering college have year fest even called recharge where college invite famous singer for concert. Last year we have jonita Gandhi, surish raina and lots of other singers as well.we have decent Library and to access journals paper you need permission from hod. We have recording of lecture we can be re watched later, honestly no one uses it. We also have lots of clubs ranging from photography to entrepreneurship.
Admission
I really wanted to join vit but i couldn't get enough mark to get into it. I joined rajalakshmi Engineering College because of a friend recommendation, he and me join the same college. Admission process: i joined through management, I paid 500000 as donation for admission.
Faculty
Faculties are good and they bad ones too. They is 1 teacher per 60 student in classroom. In labs we have 2 to 3 staff for 120 students. I really like Vinoth kumar way of teaching, I feel like he is the only staff who knows what he does. And the staff i don't like is same Vinoth kumar, he is bit more strict that any other staff. In total we have 3 cat exam for internal marks and then end semester and end semester lab exams for external marks. In my option Course curriculum are bit outdated.
