Remarks

Positive is the faculty of the college. The education they provide. But they have to work on the infrastructure and also give a good placement to the merit students. But in the end, I love my college a lot. Because I have a lot of memories and attachment with the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

It was a 3 years course. every 6 months we have to appear for a semester. There were also sessional examinations of 20 marks whose marks were included in semester exams. based on all the 6th semester our CGPA is being pointed out

Placement Experience

Internship and job placement were quite poor. This is the only drawback of our college. only a few renewed company has come for the placement. Though I have never appeared for the placement, one of my friends told me that only TCS has come for the placement.

College Events

There were annual functions every year. There was also college weekend happened in every year where there is participation in respective fields whether it is sports, dance, drama, rally, etc. There is also a diamond jubilee and a golden jubilee was also organized. It also included Freshers and a farewell party.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is feasible because it is a govt. institution. From my point of view, it is very feasible and affordable for the middle class and below-average people. The fees structure is 5500 per semester(1year) and per semester 1350. so it was affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid

Ishan udai is one of the scholarships given by the college for the merit students who don't have a good family background. I don't know much about the loan facilities as I have not applied for any loan. Maybe there was an educational loan for the poor family background student.

Campus Life

They are pretty well. They work on the infrastructure and equipment of the lab to make it a better one. I think they did not get enough funding. extracurricular activities like quiz competitions, dance competitions, photography contests, NCC, and many more are there.

Hostel Facilities

I have not opted for any hostel, since I live with my elder brother and twin brother nearby Guwahati, so I didn't look for any hostel. since I have gone to the hostel the infrastructure was quiet good. I will rate it 3.5 out of 5.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

We keep in touch with the seniors. As I am also an alumnus I also keep in touch with my fellow juniors. Also, try to guide them in a good way, and try to leave a good footprint for them. I have learned many things from seniors how to keep yourself busy with good things, how you can achieve your goal.

The faculty were very friendly. I was one of their best students. I love the company of the teachers. I am an average student but having a very quiet personality. Always keep me away from nuisance and other ill activities

Likes

I like the infrastructure of our college.
Our college have enough rooms and halls to accommodate huge number of students
Digitalisation in teaching methods in all classrooms.

Dislikes

Toilet is still not clean as promised by our GS.
Lack of equipments in practical laboratories.
Cleanliness and hygiene are a bit off track.

The course prepares well for students as the acedemic results is always good which will make gratutides well equipped for jobs. Some sections of the course should be updated to meet the latest technology, more guests lectures and the interships should be provided to the students. The exams clustering of multiple exams should be within times which relases unneccsary stress, the exams are conducted easy to insane which is very challenging for the students.

Our department (botany) has well experienced and knowledgeable professor's who guided us both practically and theruotically which help us to gain knowledge at a faster rate
The most important thing is that our department always go for practical experience i.e.through trip.
The department often conducts seminars and guest lecturers

Dislikes

As a student of Aryavidyadpeeth college, it is very difficult to be part of our college,as the department is very popular
Due to high popularity, the college campus is very crowded, which sometimes leads to overcrowding
There is a very limited seats in hostel, the outstation students faces many difficulties to stay nearby the college.

Scholarly help and studying materials related to the course are provided by the college however the result are mostly based on self studying due to inefficient management by faculties. The college lacks proper workshops and programs to prepare the students for real world circumstances.

All the faculty are very learned and helpful. They make an effort and are very invested in our progress
The infrastructure is very modern with multiple laboratories and conference halls. Construction work is going on for increasing the campus area and buildings
Apart from departmental libraries, the college boasts a central library with a large collection of books, articles and journals

Dislikes

Need for a separate parking area for students
Canteen and cafeteria space should be increased
Seat capacity should be increased in the common room

The requirements for 1st semester students is to choose 7 subjects. Core subject, Minor subject, SEC (skill enhancement course), IDC (inter disciplinary course), AEC (ability enhancement course) and two compulsory VAC (value added courses) of EVS and AIS (ancient Indian studies)
