Remarks
The college management is very strict with the students with a huge curtail on our personnel freedom. There is restriction on the use of tshirts and jeans. But still the management helps in donating money for fests.
Entrance Preview
I took CET was the test taken to get into this prestigious college. I scored 152 as my CET rank and 94% in my PUC to get into this college. This college offers the best facilities for a mechanical student with the best labs,robotic clubs and good placements.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is properly divided though the 3rd year gets a bit hectic with the internship and all.
Internships Opportunities
For the internship i had chosen BEML which was offered by a relative and the college did not provide one. One of my lecturers referrend me to ISRO wherein no stipend was offered though i got to know many things about Astrophysics and took up as a project for final semester.
Placement Experience
The placement for Mechanical is low when compared to CS,IS students. But still companies like L&T,BOSCH and General Motors visited us. Packages ranged from 3.5 lakh per anum in BOSCH to 7.5 Lakh per anum in General Motors. Around 50% of people of my seniors were placed last year.
College Events
The college celebrated holi,college fest and talents day. The participation for events such as computer games,table tennis and chess happens even from students from different colleges. The minimum participation is around 5000 people for any given fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is Rs 47000 per year with extra for exam fees. This is much more feasible for students with low income certificate and students belonging to SC,ST's. The fee for hostel is seperate.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college offers scholarship for poor meritorous students of around Rs 30000 per year. There is also a facility from the government for a sum of Rs 15000 for SC,ST's. My friends have taken this loan.
Campus Life
The gender ration is below 1 as there are more boys when compared to girls. The college takes the students on field trips once a semester to show the various industries nearby. Sports such as running,table tennis,shuttle and chess is usually played during talent's day and sport's day. The college and its students respect people from different walks of life.
Hostel Facilities
For the amount taken for hostel ie Rs 40000 the food in the hostel is bad though the food in college canteen is good. The PG's nearby charge Rs 3000 per month which have just a room with no kitchen and one bathroom. The hostel room has to be shared betwee
Alumni/Alumna
The senior passed out students meet the faculty once a year or so. The college is opened to the seniors on a pre appointed sunday and this is the time wherin we can enjoy their company.
