Likes
- The campus and the faculty, the faculty members are extremely friendly and most of them are very young so they really try to teach in a manner that the students find it interesting
- Teaching method , the teaching methods are extremely easy going there's not much pressure and teachers are always there when you need any kind of help
- Events ,there are so many events that are being held regularly in the campus and almost every festival is celebrated and then there are trips ,the environment of the college is extremely safe
Dislikes
- The placement cell is not of much work there,nobody helps in getting any kind of internships and there is no clarity about placement which companies will appear at all
- The infrastructure needs to be improved it is literally very old
- The cleanliness level and hygiene needs to be taken care of its very messy .
Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in learning more about management and human capital,,the teaching methods and everything was good but one thing that I didn't like is lack of practical knowledge one cannot learn everything just by reading , students need exposure and practical knowledge that was not there that all . Also there were no personality development classes in my opinion they should have those
Fees and Financial Aid
Year wise fees I paid was 50000 25000 per semester and there were two semesters in each year There was a huge difference in the fees for those who are Sc /St or related to army in any ways they had to pay only the admission fees which was 10000 for the whole year The exam fees was 5000 for one year There are many scholarships that are provided like the girl child policy and others especially to the residents belonging to Himachal and Chandigarh There is a 70 percent reservation for the residents of chandigarh only
Campus Life
There are a lost of fests and events in the college,there is huge library ,and there is a sports team ,Bhangra team , different clubs everything it just has poor infrastructure which needs to be improved
Hostel Facilities
Getting a hostel is a very big deal because there are very less rooms as compared to the students coming from outside And it's quite expensive 7-8 k a month without food included,food is available in the mess and it's quality and tastes is nice but the hostel has all the facilities and Iis extremely safe
Admission
I applied to ss college and Khalsa College,mcm college and aaram devki college I got shortlisted in each of these clgs except for ss college. The cutoff for each of these colleges was 88 percent and above and 70 percent seats were reserved for the students of chandigarh only Admission was totally on merit basis followed by counselling ,I chose this college because of the fact that it's a government college and it has the biggest campus in Chandigarh
Faculty
The faculty student ratio would be 4:10 The faculty members are extremely helpful and friendly they are understanding as well Especially mam ekta of bba There are two semesters and two end term exams almost 60 percent students failed in the exams ,there is no practical knowledge only bookish everything is
Night Life
Well well well the nightlife is just amazing there is a lot of raunaq in the night there's stuck there chai point there are so many places one can roam around in the campus and best part is it is extremely safe even for girls
