Course Curriculum Overview

4

The main thing I chose about this course in this college is 1)Placements 2)Best Research Facilites that I have heard 3)Now they installed quantum labs 4)People,people,people You can see variety of people who intrested in diff. things

Internships Opportunities

4

The companies are such as Amazon,Paypal, Microsoft, Ramco,Caterpillar, SiliconChip, Qualcomm, Comcast , Verizon, TCS , Accenture. The maximum pay is 35 by Paypal And Wellfargo-24 oracle -15 And lot more companies. Even TCS gives from 9 to 3.3LPA The median package is 7Lpa.people can expect some good opportunites if they are School of Computing and School of mechanical Engineering.

Placement Experience

3

From 5th semseter onwards companies started to coming,The companies started to come. Companies like Fidelity, Rocketlane and Paypal ,Oracle hired a bunch of candidates as interns and conversion rate will be 90 percent. Totally around 90 to 100 companies came and more than 80 percent of the students got placed. The highest package package providd by Paypal which is 35 LPA and followed by JUSPAY 27 lpa. The median package is 6 LPA and the lowest pay is 3LPA which is provided by the TCS. TCS made around 500 to 600 offers

Fees and Financial Aid

SASTRA University provides comprehensive fee structure that varies program by program. With various financial options available ,it supports the students in their educational pursuits. The first year fees for B.tech courses are 85000 per semester and it gets increased by 5% by the following semesters. In addtional all the students nedd to pay OneTime Caution Fee,Registration fee, Development Fee, Sports and Unit fee around 25000.The Total estimated fees for Btech 2021-25 is 6,63,000. The scholarships such as Merit cum means scholarship for the students who are performing well in the course. SC/ST scholarships and GATE Scholarships are also available.

Campus Life

4

Overall Campus life is Good. The most attractive thing in college is Library. You can expect a lot of books and also you can use it whenever you want. There are two types of fest happens in SASTRA in terms of technical. The intra college fest is DAKSH where more than 50 college students will participate in hackathon to grab the prizes.Lot of groups you can able to join such as Infra, Techno_informals, Marketing etc. which will surround around DAKSH

Hostel Facilities

4

There are five to six hostels for boys and three to four hostels for girls. The room facilites are such as 1 in 1 , 2 in 1 and 3 in 1. The newly constructed vinaya blocks which is outside the campus have only 3 in1 and 1 in 1 sharing the common bathrooms. But the Kamadhenu hostels are bathroom attached ones. The meal is strictly vegetarian. There is no nonveg menu here. If student got caught eating non veg at his/her room strict action will be taken and they got expelled from hostels. The overall quality of the food is above average and not too good . The mess fees is nearly come around 4500 to 5000. There are lot of localites that you can rent a room or PG near the college itself. And Also, In Vallam and near new tanjore Bus Stand. The registration process is quite simple at SASTRA. If the student house is more than 75kms from SASTRA, they are automaticaaly eligible for Hostel Process. Rest of the students need to consult the Dean and providing letters they can expect to accomadate in hostel but it fully depends in Dean Hands.

Admission

In comparison to other colleges like Amrita, Vit and SSn ,SASTRA offers competitve tution fees and wide array of specializaiions. The placement services at SASTRA are effective that more that 90 percent of the students securing jobs from AMAZON,Microsoft to TCS. The admission process at SASTRA is merit based and primarily considering the JEE scores. At counselling, you can get get 1)All India quota 2)TamilNadu Quota 3)Trichy and Tanjore Quota.

Faculty

3

The faculty student ratio is around 1:16. But for a single subject there are more than 10 to 15 professors are there. The best faculties that I have experienced are Shankar Sriram, Rajkumar , Sasikala and SubramaniyaSwamy currently who left at SASTRA. You can get ampful amount of reviews from seniors who are good at whic Subject. For a semester there are three internal exam(CIA's) and one semester exam. If you scored some good marks in first and second internal, you can skip the third CIA.

Night Life

4

The nightlife in college is not upto the par that you can expect. But you can checkout the library till the 8 PM. There are around two gyms in SASTRA seperate for BOYS and GIRLS. There are around to 10 coffeshops is there. Each one or two around each buildings . There are seperate buildings for each and every schools such as School of Computing, Mechanical, LAW, Biotech and Electrical. The famous hangout places in college is Krishna Canteen, Canopy and Kappikudil. There are multiple places you can able to hangout. The in timings for Boys is 8 30 to 930. YOu need to give the roll call at the time otherwise there may be enough chances to get vacate from hostels. For girls the timing is around 6 30 PM. In exam time after getting the permission from the DEAN, you can able to hangout in campus till 8PM.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
