Course Curriculum Overview

4

Exams are pretty normal in terms of difficulty. Not too hard not too soft, I think the course is pretty well updated with the current industry ralevence , with plenty of coding practices and leetcode and hakerrank The curriculum didn't influence me to join this course, I was already pretty interested in this subject so I choose this course

Internships Opportunities

2

In 4th year you can choose to do either internship or project. I am still in 2 year so I don't have a lot of idea about the internship opportunities, stipends or the porjject that they give in 4th year

Placement Experience

5

Students become eligible for placement after 6th sem with the height package at 43 lack with large companies like Bosch, aws, Mercedes etc. My plans after getting a degree is going for higher studies abroad hopefully.

Fees and Financial Aid

At first year I paid around 99000 rupees and in around year it went down to 89000, just like that the price decrease as get promoted. I got through government seat that my state government has reserved for us. Therefore most of the fees are paid by my goverment( government of Arunachal Pradesh)(st category). Through management quota, the fees will cost around 3-10 lakhs. They also offer seats through Karnataka engineering examination. I apply for Umbrella scheme by my state government which requires you to have 70% of marks and regestered into a collage. The government pays 50k in a lump sum around June or july

Campus Life

4

There are a lot of different clubs available in the collage such as photography, dance, drama, motor racing, aero etc. We are provided with projector and blackboard in the classrooms. There are different student bodies for different departments, and freshers are conducted by the department therefore no freshers in first year but in second year after you enter your department

Hostel Facilities

3

Meals are only veg inside the mess and only egg allowed in the cafeteria so you'd need to eat non veg outside the campus or make it yourself. The food is not that good for me. There are WiFi available in the hostels . You get attached and non attached rooms in the hostel with 1,2,3,4 sharing rooms available in the hostel. There are separate hostels for 1st year students

Admission

I didn't apply for any other collage as I got this seat alloted through CSAB counseling . The admission precess was pretty straight forward for the first time, with photo for ID , fees payment and documentation submission where 12th marksheet etc are required

Faculty

5

Most of the faculties are good but some can be annoying like not teaching well or give you less marks in projects. There are 3 examinations each semester ISA 1, ISA 2 and ESA. Two in Sem exams and one end sem exam. Two in sem exam totals for 40 marks and 10 marks are in assignments and tests. The end sem examination is conducted for 100 marks and reduce to 50. Faculty to student ration is 1:60

Night Life

5

There is not much of a night life around the campus even tho the collage is in the middle of the city. The library's are open till 9 o'clock .girls cerfew is at 7:20 You need to have a collage id to get inside the collage id in the night

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the NIAT curriculum around four out of five. In my opinion, it is good that the curriculum is not only based on theoretical studies. The inclusion of coding, projects, assignments, and practical knowledge is quite engaging for the students, as they can apply the acquired information in practice. Additionally, I find the curriculum up to date compared to the standard Btech syllabus, which mainly focuses on theoretical background. However the curriculum could have fewer assignments, as some of them are rather time consuming and require additional study to achieve a better understanding of a particular subject.

Placement Experience:

The on-campus usually starts in 6th Semester. A company called MathCo was the first company it came for the role of analyst. Around 5-7 people got selected. The average package would be usually around 4-4.5 LPA, but highest package was 6.25 from PlanetSpark for role of Sales. The percentage is nearly to 10-12%. After degree, get a job and work for atleast 2 years for learning current trends is my basic thought as of now.
