Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because it was needed for my aspirations. Though i didnt go for it for the core jobs it offers. This degree is quite needed for basic graduation. I wanted to go fo editing and game development, so this course was my option considering financial status aswell. The curriculum is really outdated. Getting a job with the course itself is impossible. We definitely need to prepare on our own if u want a job. although some events are conducted regarding job preparation. The main course definitely needs improvement. The exams are quite frequent having a 1 month gap barely. although wuite manageable.

Placement Experience

3

Students are eligible for placements from 3rd year itself. Companies like Amazon, Wipro, TCS visit this college for placements providing decent enough packages from 6-9L for beginners. The highest package offered was 60LPA. Almost 70-80% are placed which is reasonable for a 3 tier college like this. My plans after graduation is to freelance and explore the game development side.

Fees and Financial Aid

The base fee for any college is 1.25L per year. For me with a donation of 2.2L (which was divided for 4 years for me fortunately) combined with the Hostel fee of 95K totalling 3-4 lakh per year with other expenses combined. You would only be charged with the base fees if you got a seat through EAMCET (Hostel not included). Scholarships are available for students whose parents jobs are not government related. Most of my batchmates are convenor through.

Campus Life

4

Fests like GUNA,IGNITE, MUSICAL NIGHTS are conducted which are also quite rare. Generally conducted between 2 mid exams that is october and november. The library is really good with alot of books only study related. Every class has a projector with the display too. Sports meet is conducted which actually the better event in all the said events. Clubs do exist however are mostly inactive due to disinterested students.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel rooms are quite cozy and tidy. For students already coming from hostels in intermediate, it actually a really big upgrade in freedom and facilities.Multiple Wifi routers are provided in every floor. Seniors and juniors have seperate blocks so interaction is not there although you're free to talk. The menu is quite fine compared to ones in intermediate. Chicken curry on Wednesdays, biryani on Fridays, chicken fried rice with manchuria and noodles on Sundays. The Hostel costs 95K per year which is quite common even in outside hostels. But knowing the college is in the outskirts, it's quite optable and comfortable.

Admission

Personally i didn't have a choice to choose as i didnt get a seat in EAMCET. However I've heard from my relatives about it. So i thought ut might be decent which made me decide this college. I didnt really get "rejected" , i didnt even apply knowing my rank. So it is probably the reason i never made it to better colleges. Since i applied through management quota, i had to go to and fro with the staff in the admission building trying to reduce the donation i had to pay. It was quite simple really. Most students who opted this college got alright ranks. so this college js quite optable if u dont have many choices. For EAMCET is cutoff is at 1.2 L. my friend got a rank of 1.17L and he still got into CSC.

Faculty

4

The faculty act quite firendly towards students. They interact well even on a personal level guiding the students. Even though their communication skills need alot of improvement, knowing that most of the students are native or local it's fine. However some faculty does exist who have ego issues and quite literally torture students. We have a subject called CAEG, the teacher teaching this subject is quite fragile, snaps at every small thing and ends up giving alot of work because he's annoyed of us. For us 2 Mid exams are conducted before a Semester. Mid exams are quite easy or manageable, the question pattern is simple containg just 6 questions. However just like every college the curriculum is quite outdated and irrelevant. almost all students from a class manage to pass except like 4-6 students.

Night Life

4

Gym is open during the morning and evening. It even contains other indoor games like Pool, Table tennis, carrom, chess. And above the same building an indoor badminton floor with 3 courts is also open during the evening. For Girls unfortunately curfew starts from 6:00 PM so they are not allowed to leave their hostel. The boys hostel and girl hostels are seperated, so u cant even meet during curfew. For Boys however no curfew exists and you are free to roam around the campus till 9:00 PM. The campus is quite cozy with constant gentle breeze and barely any mosquitos. The campus exists on the outskirts so you are pretty free to roam around without sny disturbances. Most people would just stroll around the campus to chill sitting on the grass along the in campus roads.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
