Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is relevant as well as comprehensive. There is a vast variety of real world applications for the course that is applied for by me. Along with the help of detailed and comprehensive teaching methods used by the teachers, the student can get ready for the outside world right after college. The difficulty is also medium and manageable

Internships Opportunities

5

There are many good internship opportunites that one can get in DTU. By joining good tech societies one can get latest updates on internship opportunites with good stipends like 1lakh per month. Recently Google came for GSOC internship program. Good projects and DSA knowledge is required for cracking internships.

Placement Experience

5

Good placement ratio even in the recent recession that is going on. Highest package till now in Mathematics and Computing branch being 62 lakh per annum and average around 19 lakh per annum. Good companies like Google , Microsoft , Facebook , Amazon , Atlassian have visited the college. Placement is in process right now but last year the placement percentage was around 70 - 80 % in Mathematics and Computing branch

Fees and Financial Aid

The year-wise fee structure is Rs. 236700 + 246700 + 266700 + 286700 for four years. Rs. 95000 is supposed to be submitted during JAC counselling as seat acceptance fee and will be subtracted from the fees of 1st year so only Rs. 141700 is supposed to be paid during 1st year.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is awesome. Extracurriculars are greatly focussed upon in DTU along with academics. There are good societies - Artificial Intelligence , Rocketry , Debate , Film Making , Music and sports societies as well. The library is well equipped along with a large area for students to study. All classrooms have central air conditioning and projectors for proper learning process. Big events such as the Engifest and Yuvaan take place in DTU every year where big celebrities and singers are also called to perform.

Admission

DTU has a legecy of being one of the best technological institutes even before other colleges like IIT Delhi. DTU produces great minds and gives students a success oriented mindset. Another reason for applying to DTU was its good quality education and high placements that students are able to crack after college. In order to get admission in DTU one needs to go through Joing Admission Committee (JAC) Delhi Counselling and choose among the major colleges in Delhi namely, DTU , NSUT , IIITD , IGDTUW and DSEU. One can get into the college through JEE Mains examination. The counsellling process is smoothe and the schedule is provided in the brochure

Faculty

4

Approachable faculty. They are interactive and provide quality education alond with doubt solving. Some are strict but manageable. There are exams twice in a semester i.e. mid semester exams and end semester exams. Linient checking is done and most of the students pass with good marks. Course curriculum is relevant to overall development of the student.

Night Life

5

Night life is amazing at DTU. There are late night shops inside the college to provide with necessary groceries for hhostel students. Library are also open all night long but only during exams. Timings are normally till 9pm for library and till 11pm one can enter and exit the college. There are many famous restaurants nearby to hangout.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
