What Students Say

Likes

I liked infrastructure and clubs are very varied
Clubs include many aspects technical and non tecnical
Feasts are celebrated very nicely ,internship opportunities and placements

Dislikes

Mess food is very disspointing and sometimes only edible
Infrastructure for hostel in not properly set
A very long way from hostel to college for 1st years

Course Curriculum Overview

There is equal opporitunity for both electrical and computer side for placements . There is a course named AVP which mainly focuses on real world applications instead of only book knowledge. Course can be improved by increasing classes of course named CIR as it mainly focuses on carrer and placements

Class Size: 49Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There is a course mainly focuses on we getting placed called CIR it also helps in placements we have check for internship outside of the class not only this single class and internship is not something campuses give we have to put our eyes and ears open for opportunities

Placement Experience

Placements of our college is one of its best spots and is best of best reaching almost 100 percent placements and our course being highest package last inspired me to take this course.Overall very good placements

Fees and Financial Aid

Our fee structure is divided by slabs and least being slab 3.I have slab 2 and it is 2 lakh per year Slab -1 is of 125000 Slab-2 is of 200000 Slab-3 is of 300000 Slabs are decided by our entrance exam i personally have joined the college by JEE percentile

Campus Life

There are many cultural feasts and many more clubs there will be more clubs even if we see a club a day . Both technical and non technical clubs are present . I personally have joined a technical club regarding our course

Hostel Facilities

There will be a wardan who checks noice and timing of sleep now and then . Hostel food is affordable and mess is edible. There are no menu and meal quality is as per the price and sometimes only edible

Hostel Fee: INR 74000 per year

Admission

I mainly choose this college because its NIRF ranking is always in top seven and its unbeatable placements I was very inspired by the placements. I got rejected from IIT s and NIT s so this college is from best of private colleges

Faculty

Faculty is a very strong spot for Amrita as even in our first sem we got evry faculty to be more than 10 plus years of experience .every faculty is we friendly and explains every topic presicely and very carefully . Alround development is encouraged and there are many presentaions to be taken but not very hard to do

Interview Experience

There is 2 ways we can get admission either by jee or by AEEE . I personally have got it by JEE Simply preparing for JEE is enough noneed of preparing extra for it . But make sure to revise before exam

Night Life

There is a gym , cafeterias , library all near college than hostel . Hostel timing is we should be in room at sharp 9 30 pm in evening and no morning time we can go for a run near beach and came even in morning 5

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year, project phases.
Fests, events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan, infosys, commandtech, bimlabs, gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Comprehensive review of amrita Vishwa vidyapeetam - amritapuri campus:A blend of academic Excellence and campus life

When choosing a college several factors played a role in my decision to select Amma the Vishwa vidyapeethum campus from my cyber security program over other institutions applied to. Compared with other colleges I applied to 1. VIT Vellore 2. BITS Pilani 3. SRM institute of science and technology Amrita has an excellent repetition for its faculty in cyber security. The professors are experienced and have a strong academic background along with industry exposure which was highly appealing to me. Including well accepted cyber security lapse. These lamps focus on practical penetration testing ,network security ,and ethical hacking. Amrita amrutapuri is situated in a peaceful coastal area offering a conductive environment for studies the campus life is lively with several extra curricular and co curricular activities that I found very attractive. Wet Vellore and SRM also afford good campus life but were much larger in size and I felt amritas more intimate campus would be better for personalised learning....Read More
