What Students Say

Likes

Teachers are good and friendly in nature and easier to approach for help.
Class rooms are great, clean, spacious and equipped with smartboards
The computer lab is large and can accomodate 60 students

Dislikes

Teachers are friendly but not regular and punchual in their work.
The college is not very serious regarding its students placements and career
Thhe college always wants a student to participate in nonsense things, even if they don't want to

Course Curriculum Overview

I personally choosed these field because of obession with technology and innovations and wanted to g in the computer field. Teaschers need to be regular and start to give their inputs more than just coming and sitting in the class

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 16000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

For BCA course we need to pay 16k per semester. And there is no fee relaxation for economically poor sections in BCA course, Moreover there are extra payments to be done for some occasions. There are scholarships upto 10k for full attandance

Campus Life

The college campus is to small and and always filled with students. However it has certain facilities like canteen, cafe ,gym , badminton court,volleyball, basketball court and auditorium. it is not a very perfect campus to stay

Admission

I applied for different college like cotton where i did'nt got the chance for admission and morelike adp college , pragjyotish , pandu, morigaon . But i choosed dispur because it was just a little better than other mentioned

Faculty

Teachers are often approachable and supportive, fostering an enviroment where students can seek guidance dispur college operate in a semester systemm two final exams are conducted in a year and 2 sessional exams are conducted in 1 semester

Night Life

There is no night life in the college its not an university to br having nightliufe, the college gates are clo0sed at 6pm and opened 6am in the morning . the gym is not very usable rater only one person can use the gym, equipments are wrapped in cob webs everythings are old and fragile. And about the canteen everything are oily and shit

Thoughts regarding my college

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement in 5th semester.Various companies come for placement like HDFC bank and more.The package that was offered was around 2lpa in 2024.During our time placement drive was organised in 5th semester but the companies demanded immediate joining which was not possible for us to join since we were already left with one more semester to complete .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had a little bit of interest in computers from my childhood. When I grew up the interest is increased a little bit more. After completing my HS I decided to take admission in the Computer science program. Then one of my friends suggested me to take admitted to Madhab Choudhary college, BARPETA for the BCA course. Our faculty : student ratio is 1:15 . Our Both two facilities had completed master degree course in Computer Application . I will not say that they are give their best to teach us but they are good in teaching . After every 5 month they conduct sessional exam . And the final exam is held in every six month of period . There is little bit moderate to pass the examination .

Placement Experience:

I think the percentage needed to get the placements is above 90%. I am planning on doing my master's too in this college but if I get placement after my BCA I will do my master's in open university. That is my pan so far.

Admission process is fairly simple.Students interested in this course can fill the admission form and will be selected based on their merit in higher secondary which should be 45% minimum (for general and OBC) and 40% for SC/ST. They should've mathematics/statistics/CAES as one of their subjects.

Remarks:

The study is good for self financed courses but the fees is high,teachers are good and everhelping. Office and library staff is lazy. The building is good with 24 hour electricity. Classes are well equipped with mics and projector. The competition is very high to get into this college

Our college is one of the known and best college in Assam. It is a college of Britain times. Here ,every student and faculties co-operate. The needs of student and teachers are equally valued.and just that the infrastructure is poor though since it has turned into University now there are work in constructions are going on.
