Likes
- I like the campus size and it's infrastructure. The campus size is nearly 150 Acre .
- I like the facilities of canteen and stationary in the campus . Everything we need is available in the campus.
- I like the classrooms as every class and labs are well managed and Air Conditioned.
Dislikes
- Water quality is very poor. Water purifiers are available but they are not m.aintained and very unhygienic
- Sports Equipments are very less. Only 2 cricket bats and you cannot play on the cricket pitch.
- Teachers are not good . They are bookish teacher and you will not gonna understand everything in class.
Course Curriculum Overview
First year course is almost similar for every branch like mathematics 1 & 2 , physics , Basic Electrical Engineering and it differs branch to branch. But the curriculum from 2nd to 4th semester is quite good and relevant to current time. The difficulty of exams is like moderate to hard .
Internships Opportunities
Internships are higher in college if you have skills and the good good GPA ( 8.5 + ). Also, you can apply in internships after 4th semester examination. There are team of seniors which will guide you how to apply and gram the good internships .
Placement Experience
You can apply for internship in the campus after the end of 4th semester. And you should have a great GPA ( atleast 8+ ) to get the opportunity. Also , you can get the placements after the 6th semester in campus . Companies like Amazon , uber , Google etc comes frequently.but the mass recruiters are like Infosys , TCS etc. The highest package in DTU is 1.84 Cr with the average pachake of 12 Lakh
Fees and Financial Aid
1st Year Fee:- 2,36,700 ( 95000 Admission Fee + 1,41,700 Balance Fee ) 2nd year Fee:- 2,46,700 3rd year fee:- 2,66,700 4th year fee:- 2,86,700 This fee structure is valid for 2024-2028 batch and it includes tution fee and college facilities fee both. For every category people the fee structure is same . But there are many government and central government scholarship available for minorities which gives you upto 100% of your academic fee.Also college provides fee concession upto 100% for Students with Annual family income of less than 4.5 LPA
Campus Life
The campus life is good and greenery but there are not so much craze in sports . Also , there are so many clubs , society and teams which works on specific task like rocketry , Robotics, fest etc. There are so many events and fest occurs frequently.
Admission
I also got a seat in Maharaja agrasen institute of technology for btech in computer science and engineering but I preferred ECE in DTU as the placement and campus life is quite good in DTU than MAIT.also, DTU is ranked 27 in Engineering according to NIRF rankings 2024.
Faculty
A single semester is nearly of 4-5 months . There are only two types of exams in a semester . First one is mid semester exam and the another one is End semester exam. From the beginning of semester you'll have 1.5-2 months for mid sem and from midsem to end sem you'll have 2 months. You have to start study atleast one month before the examination to get a good GPA. You cannot depend on faculties as they are not so good.
Night Life
The college is situated in Bawana which is not a good place in terms of anything. There are gyms but not good quality .also , the food quality is poor and unhygienic around the college. But the transport is quite good also there are many PGs and Flats for students who are not interested in Hostels. There are not a single place to enjoy nearby.
Other Applied Colleges
Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology - [MAIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
As the placements of DTU are much better than MAIT. So i preferred ECE in DTU rather than CSE in MAIT
