What Students Say

Likes

It is good college, zero pollution, eco friendly
Friendly facilities,easy to reach,good service
Open ground, great opportunity, good digital service

Dislikes

Too many cultural programmes were given everyday
Don't have many meals at the college canteen
College occupied next to the road so too much sound

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum based on chemistry so I choose it.curriculam has literally small relevance there for it doesn't prepare an individual for real world application specifically in todays application. The curriculum only focus on theory rather than application. curriculum should focus on hand on experience of that course.

Class Size: 15Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise free for me - 60000 Tuition for me -22500 Caution for me- 4500 Lab fees for me- 7000 Development fees for me -1000 Batchmates as Same fee as me Egrandz were given to me as scholarship or financial aid

Campus Life

There is annual college day, freshers day , talents day, morning Star day, sports day also there is festival day celebration like onam & christmas.Total of around 2000 books available. Each book can only be taken for two weeks. It is a smart class A really good sports college with an overall position of seventh. There are about 14 clubs.

Admission

College is an easy reachable place.Due to the less availability of seats given we had to take this college. This college was choosen because of less time to reach.Admission is run by the University website.

Faculty

Good faculty members, Course Structure is based on concepts of organic, inorganic & physical.Develop basic principles of research and construct a scientific report. There is three teachers for 22 students.Marking Scheme based on CGPA.

Night Life

Canteen is the favourite hangout spot.gym is available for everybody.library give good service. All the services in college start from 9:30 & 3:00.Same time for Hostel.Famous hangout space outside is Dist college & Indian cofee house

Experiences so far

Likes

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . Since I am still in my first year I have only experienced the initial part of course

Experience at MBCET

Likes

The campus is well maintained and is clean
Teachers are willing to give individual attention if needed
Above average food is provided in canteen

Dislikes

Lack of campus life as college is strict
Majority of the staff members are the type to hold a grudge against you
Spoon feeding students and not allowing them to think and improvise accordingly

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from semester 6 onwards. But campus placement for civil engineering is fairly low. But companies like Aarbee Structures Pvt Ltd has offered jobs for my mates

Is engineering here worth it?

Likes

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year, project phases.
Fests, events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan, infosys, commandtech, bimlabs, gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

The library got my attention since it has alot of books and its the centre of attraction of the college

Dislikes

The college doesn't provide any placements and job opportunities
The college doesn't provide any pool options for swimming lessons
Teachers get changed every now and then this makes the continuity of the lessons very hard

Course Curriculum Overview:

The social service got my eyes on this course. The intention of creating the mentality of helping others by social service made me join the course. This course provides a great service towards the betterment of future and people in it.

When I came to take addimition in BSC chemistry model 2 in merit base the faculty members of the department gave direction about the course structure and how it helps as to future growth ???? and neetness of people in this college are well said things and security system are very good And friendly approch towards our family and me are very nice ??????? I allmost applied to 11 college have specific in chemistry because my interest field is chemistry though all the college this college have special chemistry course and also this is women only college that supports women empowerment though different types of club activities so I was impressed about this college also I like to experience hostel atmosphere so I suggest a college far from my home town so I stuck in this college and hostel atmosphere are very good. So I rejected all college to get this special chemistry in this college that was the motive to continue my higher education in this college ????
