Course Curriculum Overview

I am interested in joining IOCL so I personally gave the first preference to chemistry honors. The course curriculum is all good according to me no improvement is needed. The exams are moderate level.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 650 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

No fees needed to be paid for the students having family income less than 2 lakhs yearly. Any kind of fees is free of cost. Students may need to pay fees on yearly admission incase they failed in the semester exam

Campus Life

The college campus is very eco friendly and nature based. It is very clean and tidy. We can get various books of the college course in the library along with civil service books. We celebrate college week in our college

Admission

I only applied for digboi college as myself and my family members thought it would be the best college for me . It is one of the best college in our state. It is a A+ credit college. The student must get minimum 60% marks for getting admission

Faculty

There are 5 faculty for the department of chemistry. The faculties are very friendly and helping. I really like all the faculties. The college conduct 2 sessional and a semester exam for each semester.

Night Life

There is a gym and indoor stadium in our college. There is also computer labs. The hostel campus is also very eco friendly. Hostelers are not allowed to go out of the hostel after 5 pm . The locality around the college is very safe

I would rate in quite highly in terms of both relevant and competative the subjects are well aligned and current industry standards and current needs it includes both theoretical need and both practical need at the same time..

I like the infrastructure of our college.
Our college have enough rooms and halls to accommodate huge number of students
Digitalisation in teaching methods in all classrooms.

Dislikes

Toilet is still not clean as promised by our GS.
Lack of equipments in practical laboratories.
Cleanliness and hygiene are a bit off track.

The course prepares well for students as the acedemic results is always good which will make gratutides well equipped for jobs. Some sections of the course should be updated to meet the latest technology, more guests lectures and the interships should be provided to the students. The exams clustering of multiple exams should be within times which relases unneccsary stress, the exams are conducted easy to insane which is very challenging for the students.

Our department (botany) has well experienced and knowledgeable professor's who guided us both practically and theruotically which help us to gain knowledge at a faster rate
The most important thing is that our department always go for practical experience i.e.through trip.
The department often conducts seminars and guest lecturers

Dislikes

As a student of Aryavidyadpeeth college, it is very difficult to be part of our college,as the department is very popular
Due to high popularity, the college campus is very crowded, which sometimes leads to overcrowding
There is a very limited seats in hostel, the outstation students faces many difficulties to stay nearby the college.

Scholarly help and studying materials related to the course are provided by the college however the result are mostly based on self studying due to inefficient management by faculties. The college lacks proper workshops and programs to prepare the students for real world circumstances.

All the faculty are very learned and helpful. They make an effort and are very invested in our progress
The infrastructure is very modern with multiple laboratories and conference halls. Construction work is going on for increasing the campus area and buildings
Apart from departmental libraries, the college boasts a central library with a large collection of books, articles and journals

Dislikes

Need for a separate parking area for students
Canteen and cafeteria space should be increased
Seat capacity should be increased in the common room

Firstly, we had to apply for respective departments which one wants to take an honours. Then ,cut off percent is taken out and students are given admission to that department as honours student.

I had applied for many other colleges but my first priority was this college so I took admission on this college and I never regret after getting admission in this college. A great college with great authority

In my research, I have found that Digboi college is the better than other colleges of our tinsukia district. I have applied many college for further studies like doomdooma college, tinsukia college etc. and I got addmission call from these colleges but I choose digboi college for further studies, because digboi college has many new and valueable courses and there is a very beautiful campus. the addmission process was very simple, during addmission we have select one major and minor subject and after that we should pay the addmission fees in college counter.
