Course Curriculum Overview

4

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

As per 2024 batch fee structure is like for 1st year - 2,36,700,2nd year- 2,50,000,3rd year - 2,70,000,4th year - 2,90,000 and this fees is same for all categories students. This fees included of development, lab and any other fees.As each year current fees increases by 20k. For few waiver schemes, scholarship and financial assistance The university provides fee waiver to students with lean financial background. There is a provision of up to 100 percent waiver of the tuition fee component of the total academic fees for those students who fulfill the laid down criteria. In the last academic year, the university granted tuition fee waiver to 829 students amounting to Rs. 9.49 crores. Further, a merit scholarship of Rs. 10,000/- is awarded to the respective topper of all branches of B. Tech. programme. Several Merit-cum-Means scholarship schemes are offered by Govt. of India and Govt. of NCT of Delhi for students belonging to different categories. A dedicated window with Nodal officer is available at Academic Section (UG) for handling all queries related to scholarship Schemes. Students may approach there on any working day between 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Further, Delhi Technological University in collaboration with DELL, has initiated Dell Aspire Scholars from this academic year. DELL Aspire Scholars is a distinctive scholarship program, designed to unite a cohort of ambitious students dedicated to both academic excellence and community leadership. Chosen first year scholars will benefit from tailored career coaching, mentorship, and ongoing support extending from their collegiate journey to professional endeavors along with financial assistance. DTU is also offering around 25 merit based scholarships with the support of its Alumni. These scholarships are offered to meritorious students from distinct backgrounds based on criterion proposed by the esteemed Alumni. DTU also provides merit scholarship to the toppers of each branch of BTech Program annually.

Admission

I have chosen dtu because of its less academic pressure, better social culture. This college also famous for its fest.Placement stats of this college is very good when compared to others.I also got electronics communication branch in nsut but but of the factors mentioned above i have chosen dtu over nsut.

Faculty

4

Faculty to students ratio is like fair 1:70 it is not very good but not very bad at same time. Some faculty are very cooperative and friendly in nature some are very strict and short tempered.I liked my maths faculty she is newly joined but her teaching style and behaviour made a good impression on me also When in comes to exam which includes of midsem and endsem. In midsem test of 20 marks for subject with lab and 25 marks for subject without lab.In endsem test of 40 marks for subject with lab and 50 for subject without lab.Exams are of generally we cant say sometimes it can be tough or easy depends upon professor who making the paper but the no of students fail is much lower in number like 5 to 7 in batch of 70.

Night Life

5

There is a gym in sports complex which a well equipped gym.It timing is 7:30 to 9pm and there js also a outdoor gym beside the indoor one.Genrally all cafeterias open at 8 to 9 pm and closing time is 9 pm.Dtu us safe for wandering without a problem there in always gaurd everywhere security is high. They always ask to show your id to enter inside the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
