Course Curriculum Overview

Everyone should come into the college of studying well and becoming doctor one cant become doctor on someones pressure it should be your choice to carry on medicine . It is academically very challenging u should have mental stability to pass each year

Class Size: 1000Course Fees: INR 13000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fees will be around 10000 and exam fees will be 12-14k depending the number of papers , hostels are pretty older but has good ground and food is based on students menu , hostel there is initial deposit of 25k and monthly mess bill

Campus Life

We have large ground with good team spirits in every games which is passed to everybatches every year there will be TIMS to compete among medical college and also we have dance clubs , band clubs and cinematic clubs

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is pretty old but now there are two new blocks built with very big ground , the food will be based on students menu so the food will be high proteinaceous and tasty , hostel the mess bill based on every monthly expenditure

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

Coimbatore is one of the best cities in tamil nadu with good climate so i chose Coimbatore. Also the college is pretty old and well esteemed . Admission here is simple make good marks in neet choose cmc in counselling and simple process in clg

Faculty

Academically college is very good with good professors in the mindset to teach students well both in college and clinically we are well taught about the subjects as it is govt hospital college we have good patient load so we can see many cases

Interview Experience

University exams comes once the year which would be very tiring and in final years it is very difficult to pass practical examination and viva . For exams there will be externals coming for other states

Night Life

Night life is only for boys girls have restrictions in hostel they cant leave after 7 but boys are free to roam Coimbatore has many late night shops and good roam around cbe in night without traffic hussel

Tagore Medical College from my POV

Likes

The college has a very dedicated set of faculties who are very supportive. The faculties are easy to approach and very friendly. Every faculty is well experienced in their subject.
The college not only focuses on our academic development but extracurricular activities. There is a huge cricket ground in campus where we can play sports. There is also a college band.
The library is open till 8 pm. The library has prep ladder tablets which students could make use of.

Dislikes

The infrastructure could be a little more developed

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our curriculum is CBME based curriculum. It is more clinically oriented. We get to answer questions only after diagnosing the clinical case based questions. It focuses more on practical knowledge rather than just focusing on the theory part. It makes us ready to handle patients.

Likes

Many extracurricular clubs are there like Im in the fashion parade one.
Air conditioning facilities is avalaible jn almost all lecture halls
College is near to the metro and electric train stations making it easy for travels

Dislikes

Continous tests makes us uninterested in the subject.
Monotonous way of talking inevitably leading to us sleeping in class
Boys and girls cum activities are less leading to less interactions

Course Curriculum Overview:

For my medical field i feel some subjects are unnecessary in my view point like the community medicines. I feel anatomy weightage should be more compared to buochemistrand physiology. I would like them to improve the chapters and remove chalters that are unnecessary so that we medical students can concentrate on whats inportant rather than studying everything and stuffing our brain.

The atmosphere is so clean, infrastructure is much better when compared to other pvt. Medical institutions
The teaching faculty are good and supportive the labs are well equipped
The college encourages many sports and celebrates all festivals

Dislikes

The college is very strict with the dress code
Could improve the food in hostel and canteen
Does not allow outing for first year girls

Recently we have adopted CBME curriculum which is competency based medical education Since then the course has become a bot difficult and its necessary for making good doctors who are going to deal with life and death in the future

This college is very much strict in many aspects, like no talking between boys and girls
Compulsory temple visits during exam times and Pooja during exam times
There will be no entertainment like culturals, workshops and events

I liked the campus life. As all of us have come from a stressful exam it's just fun to enjoy
I like the anatomy subject a lot . Cuz the faculties make the subject more interesting
Seniors here are so helpful and help us in any kind of situations.

Not all the faculties are teaching the same way.
Some people can misguide you as we are totally new here

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is well known for its complexity. It's so hard to understand in the first go. We will start to realise that 12th was just an ABCD. This not something impossible with patience and intrest it's easy to learn. Every month we will be having internals for each subject. It would be hectic but fruitful. Don't always street about academics there are lot of beautiful things to gaze at also.

Remarks:

The medical college and hospital is at Mundiyampakkam village, Villupuram District. Being located at a village, the medical college focuses on maintaining good health of rural people. There are 1100 beds which are used by patients. 650 beds are used for teaching and 450 beds are used for other medical purposes. Being close to nature, the college is surrounded by greenery. One can get fresh air and healthy environment easily. However, the city is a little bit far away.
