We need more professors to teach practical aspects of mbbs , because in internship you will literally do what staff nurse and sisters do in other colleges,you won't be doing your internship work that is mentioned in your curriculum. If you get a kind pg who has time to teach, you will learn otherwise you are just doing ward boy job Professors act like they teached you everything for your practicals and you are not doing properly in reality it will be the first time they even saw you. If you have kind and caring friends who teaches in last minute count yourself the luckiest peroson because during exams boys will behave like girls if you know what I mean

You have to do paid internship for one year under government bond then only you will get your degree You will literally do ward boy and sister job for one year... only in this college this happens because staff and professor have an understanding between them. No placement is there for mbbs After finishing you have to prepare for NEET pg for pg course,USMLE for US,MRB exam for MO ,plab for UK. For USMLE dean will ask money for signing your certificate .

I got through government quota obc Category after writing NEET. in the beginning u paid 13900 as college fee + hostel fee 20000.all of my batchmates have to pay the same amount since it's a govt college and they receive scholarship every year, amount depends on their particular category.they will collect exam fees every year for conducting and practical fees for externals.fee remains the same only the mess bill each month is high compared to what we had in first year.

Student council is run by final years Hostel council by pre final years If you want to be a member of council please stand in election only if you want to do something and involve and not for show off and to romance. Music club,cinematheque,dance club art club is there(not useful) Sports is what our college focuses on and we pride ourselves being overall athletic winners and overall runners In TIMS conducted in Thanjavur college on 2024 and numerous other achievements in basketball and cricket

There is a chair, table, cupboard for things Mess food is average you will regret everyday for being hostelite,but there are also days where your hostel conducts feast and provide good food You have to register for hostel on admission day don't delay because rooms are not enough for everyone Ragging is there in night times but it's all fun nothing like they show in films.

College is in urban area and has bus availability everyday for me going hometown I can't get into Stanley because of low mark I heard climate here is awesome and water supply is good ,but only thing that bothers is cost of living which is higher than chennai. Everyone chooses coimbatore and madurai after Chennai...but Thanjavur and Salem is also nice as I heard.

Dean, vice principal has the decision making authority.HOD, assistant professor, associate professor, tutor,pg,ug students are the other people in hospital.in mbbs professor don't explain you enough,you have to study everyday,if not get a roommate who studies. Ratio for students professior is 25:1 I'm each department roughly. There is a paediatric professor who gives mark if you see his movie There are professors toxic enough to make you kill yourself even though they just do it because their lives are boring. In internship the worst departments are ortho,og,ent, paediatrics, including some pgs who thinks they own the department. Spm postings are fun but not in this college, due to some issues the department had with our seniors...they decided to strict the department even though we are not sure why we are being punished.only period in internship where you can go home freely taking leave is spm but not in this college. Some professors like Dr.selvaraj(onco) Dr.jayakumar (anatomy)Dr.usha(og) Dr.mohana Priya (ophthal)Dr.meghana(paeds) few other female facilities in paeds are the kind people you can ask help among this hell.our former FM hod now became dean who was also student friendly and cares about students.

There is a gym 24 hrs in boys hostel Canteen is below average,not enough items and they are stingiest canteen in coimbatore If you want to hangout go to isha , ukkadam lake , racecourse for walking,Ooty, SS Hyderabad biriyani,velan coffee, annapoorna,lots of cafe and bars in the city Boys hostel - 7 for first years Girls hostel - 7 for all years(exception in certain circumstances and during inter college events) Girls don't have safe place to hangout since entire city is filled with college boys and north Indians Boys can roam on their own risk Don't get caught for not wearing helmet they will fine you so much...just like all over India...they even fine you for overspeed even though your scooty can't go more than 50 kmph
