Remarks

I wanted CMC and I got .It is nearby to my hometown .Good climatic conditions .better environment . Less traffic compared to other cities..good patient flow in gh.advanced technologies available since it is a multi speciality hospital

Course Curriculum Overview

There will be one final exam at the end of each year. The course will be very exhausting. In present days, it is difficult to handle real life situations.there are many illogical medico legal cases.the course is not worth the effort

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Since it is a government college.compulsory internship after 4th year will be there in govt hospital.stipend is there . It will be around 25000 to 30000.there is no bond after internship so we can pursue pg or write mrb and join in a phc

Fees is very low compared to private medical Colleges..Per year annual tuition fees : 15000 additional exam fees depends on the year For hostel security deposit 25000 should be paid Internship also Salary will be given

Campus Life

Extra curricular activities less compared to other medical Colleges.very studious college .more education oriented.yearly one culturals will be there.sports activities are good.big ground is present. But no indoor ground

Faculty

Faculties are not that much approachable.But there are good student friendly professors too.. Jayakumar sir the best Anat professor .course duration is 5.5 yrs. First 3 yrs 3 subs per year.. Final year 9 subs

Night Life

Nightife is very good.nearby gym cafes everything are present.. overnight restaurants also available.zomato and swiggy all delivery partners available.safe surrounding environment . But there are no cafes or anything inside the campus

Tagore Medical College from my POV

Likes

The college has a very dedicated set of faculties who are very supportive. The faculties are easy to approach and very friendly. Every faculty is well experienced in their subject.
The college not only focuses on our academic development but extracurricular activities. There is a huge cricket ground in campus where we can play sports. There is also a college band.
The library is open till 8 pm. The library has prep ladder tablets which students could make use of.

Dislikes

The infrastructure could be a little more developed

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our curriculum is CBME based curriculum. It is more clinically oriented. We get to answer questions only after diagnosing the clinical case based questions. It focuses more on practical knowledge rather than just focusing on the theory part. It makes us ready to handle patients.

Likes

Many extracurricular clubs are there like Im in the fashion parade one.
Air conditioning facilities is avalaible jn almost all lecture halls
College is near to the metro and electric train stations making it easy for travels

Dislikes

Continous tests makes us uninterested in the subject.
Monotonous way of talking inevitably leading to us sleeping in class
Boys and girls cum activities are less leading to less interactions

Course Curriculum Overview:

For my medical field i feel some subjects are unnecessary in my view point like the community medicines. I feel anatomy weightage should be more compared to buochemistrand physiology. I would like them to improve the chapters and remove chalters that are unnecessary so that we medical students can concentrate on whats inportant rather than studying everything and stuffing our brain.

The atmosphere is so clean, infrastructure is much better when compared to other pvt. Medical institutions
The teaching faculty are good and supportive the labs are well equipped
The college encourages many sports and celebrates all festivals

Dislikes

The college is very strict with the dress code
Could improve the food in hostel and canteen
Does not allow outing for first year girls

Recently we have adopted CBME curriculum which is competency based medical education Since then the course has become a bot difficult and its necessary for making good doctors who are going to deal with life and death in the future

This college is very much strict in many aspects, like no talking between boys and girls
Compulsory temple visits during exam times and Pooja during exam times
There will be no entertainment like culturals, workshops and events

I liked the campus life. As all of us have come from a stressful exam it's just fun to enjoy
I like the anatomy subject a lot . Cuz the faculties make the subject more interesting
Seniors here are so helpful and help us in any kind of situations.

Not all the faculties are teaching the same way.
Some people can misguide you as we are totally new here

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is well known for its complexity. It's so hard to understand in the first go. We will start to realise that 12th was just an ABCD. This not something impossible with patience and intrest it's easy to learn. Every month we will be having internals for each subject. It would be hectic but fruitful. Don't always street about academics there are lot of beautiful things to gaze at also.

Remarks:

The medical college and hospital is at Mundiyampakkam village, Villupuram District. Being located at a village, the medical college focuses on maintaining good health of rural people. There are 1100 beds which are used by patients. 650 beds are used for teaching and 450 beds are used for other medical purposes. Being close to nature, the college is surrounded by greenery. One can get fresh air and healthy environment easily. However, the city is a little bit far away.
