Course Curriculum Overview
The thing which I was mainly influenced to choose this course is, I was interested in vehicles and related. So I chose to do Mechanical and want to work in automotives as a engineer. The thing about curriculum is, we can't get much time in practicals we are only forced to complete syllabus in time and we are generally the machines of marks, assignments, and all. The areas to be improved are, there should be some times invested on other aspects as well like sports, events, fests and all. So that students gets refreshed and may not feel stressed about curriculum. The frequency of exams including internals and quizzes are of 2 weeks and the difficulty rating may vary between 7-8 out of 10.
Placement Experience
From 3rd year 2nd semester students are eligible for campus placements. The main and regular placement companies visits are TCS, ACCENTURE, oracle, cisco, cognizant, technip FMC, etc The highest paid package is around 81 lakhs per annum in Google and the average package is around 5 lakhs per annum. My plan is to pursue masters in Germany as a follow through of mechanical in deep.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college fees is of 140000 excluding semester fees and all other training fees etc. And additionally we have to pay 2000 approx as a semester fees. And also there will a add up in 3rd year which is known as technical skills and it is a duration of 1 week and 7000 fees. And there will be separate charge for the placements in 4th year 2nd semester. As 7000
Campus Life
There will be only one annual fest which is known as euphoria and it is help for 3 days and additionally a 10 days of acumen technical fest. There are vast no.of books and journals available in Library and also there are many novels, magazines which are available to study in college itself. The sports is given the least priority in our college and we may not expect much about sports while joining.
Admission
The other colleges i applied are CBIT, VNR I haven't waited for the confirmation from other colleges as I was particularly decided to join this college. As i mentioned before I was interested in persuing mechanical engineering so I only opted for the mechanical course directly in the colleges vasavi, VNR, CBIT, Gokaraju rangaraju. I chose to go to this college in particular because, a know professor who is working in Vasavi college suggested me to join this college as it is a good choice for mechanical engineering.
Faculty
We experience a balanced relationship with faculty because there are both types of faculty where some may support our interests and some may not. And moreover the faculty are well enough qualified to clear our doubts. The faculty most I liked are sandeep sir (manufacturing processes), venkat sir( thermodynamics), bhanu Prakash sir( mathematics), adhitya sir ( PET). Coming to exams, we'll have 8 semester exams and around 36-37 subjects roughly including labs. And the exam pattern Consists as of now is PART-A (10*2= 20M) PART-B (5*8= 40M) and the remaining 20M are of internal exams. There are many students who fail to clear these exams, it is because of lack of practical knowledge mainly.
Night Life
There is only a canteen and library available in college and the college doesn't consists of hostel. The famous hangout place in college is canteen and ground. We are not allowed to hangout in college class hours.
