Likes
- The thing which is liked is that it is highly sincered ,and punctual we use to get late remarks if we came late for assrmbly
- The college infrastructure is very good ,the classrooms are very spacious with proper computer labs,library,canteen
- Also it has formed a new innovative centre for practical education,and has Fronius lab for welding for Mechanical students which is highly automated
Dislikes
- At times it becomes diffcult to maintain the attendance above 90% and then the department oragnizes parents meeting
Course Curriculum Overview
Our curriculum is not industrial friendly but the department have made measures to make it up-to-date.The mechancal department have different collegiate clubs like BAJA,SAE,MESA,AERO CLUB,ECO CLUB through which students gain industrial knowledge.The semester is usually of 4 months in which all the classes,internal assessment takes place which makes it diffcult to prepare
Internships Opportunities
The collge gives different internship opportunities.It has tie up with different industries .Like i had to privilege to get a internship at Adani power plant in Dahanu also our departmeng carries out different field visit
Placement Experience
The college offers a good placement and the placement cell is also very good.Usually the CS,IT gets an average package of around 7-8 lacs and for mechanical and electrical,extc it is for 4.5 lacs.The placement cell makes the students to prepare for the tests by taking tests at regular intervals.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college is known for its technical studies.It is very strict regarding attendance ,exams .The annual fees for engineering is approx 1.5 lacs and also recently it got its autonomy,which makes it student friendly and all the courses are more oriented towards the industrial experience.It also provides reservation to catholic students .The average fees for a SC student is approx 7000 and for OBC it is around 80000 while for TFWS it is around 20000
Campus Life
The college has different clubs to indulege into different activites.I was a member of the SAE ,Vibration club.Two major events happen one during the summer and one during the winter season.The library is very good ,one can get access to any books required.The college has very nice football ground for sports activites
Admission
I applied for these college because i wanted to apply for mechanical engineering and FCRIT,Vashi is very good in mechanical comapred to other college in terms of teaching and placements.If you aim for mechanical and electrical field then apply for these college
Faculty
Since i am from mechanical department the girls in are class where only 5-6 with around 50+ boys.The colleges takes 2 internal assesment test for each semester and before autonomy they used to take assignment test and prelims which where hectic.The faculty are highly educated and most of them ard P.H.D holders and have done their Master's
Night Life
Since i am not a hostel student,so i didn't know much about it.But my hostel freinds told me that there is no nightlife there.They have strict warden who keeps a watch on them.Usually the students have to come by 9 pm
