Remarks

If our college would support people in whatever they wish to accomplish instead of pushing everyone to constantly be only on the engineering path then our college can turn out to be the best. If our college has lesser strict regulations atleast with respect to clothes then the campus life would also be very smooth.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course Curriculum is quite old as Anna University hasn't updated the syllabus for a long time. The regulations keep changing but content almost always remains the same. Exam Structure is simple, three internal exams whose average is counted for 20% of the score and the rest 80% through the main end semester exams held at the end of the semesters. Lab exams are also conducted every semester accordingly. Certain credits are allowed for each subject we are given. These credits per semester and which subjects to study are predetermined by the college.

Placement Experience

4.5

Our college provides a great number of placement opportunities. I was not interested in sitting for placements but my friends who did are now placed in companies with 3.2LPA. Internships mostly are allowed only in the 4th year and everyone has gotten out of their own efforts. College hardly provides Internship opportunities other than within the college campus, unpaid.

College Events

3.5

Not a lot of events are celebrated in the college. We have a few active clubs that often conduct events. Rotract conducts RYLA. Atrium, our literary club and Debating Union, our debate club together conduct War of words a literary fest. Enactus conducts Enactus Carnival which is also a college fest. Young Indians club conducts Yuva, an inter-college event. Our college has its culturals started this year called Recharge. Each department has its symposium.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible. It's affordable as opposed to other engineering colleges and provides enough amenities for the same. The people who cannot afford this, do have the option of availing the loan as well, as they have a tie with Punjab National Bank and help out with that procedure. They also provide a great number of scholarships.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed of a scholarship but I know that If you are the first engineering graduate from your family the college provides a percentage of tuition fee that gets waived on your fee for all 4 years. Single girl child also gets scholarship on the tution fee. The CBSE topper gets a full tuition fee waiver if they join the college. As your percentage decreases your percentage of tution fee waived also decreases.

Campus Life

3.5

We have various clubs, labs and sports. They are strictly enforced as a part of the autonomous batch. They have grades for joining and being part of the clubs and other activities. All activities are student-run. Not a lot of these activities are actually encouraged by the college but it does make a lot of difference for the college student's life at Rajalakshmi Engineering College.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are great and very helpful. No set Alumni network by the college. We have to network on our own. College often brings back a few Alums to give us lectures or provide us insight into certain fields but other than that All the connections with the Alumni are all on individual efforts. Personally, these Alums are very helpful and give great insight.

Admission

We applied to the college as my score was a little below the cut-off, we went in through the management Quota where we paid a certain amount as a donation to get the seat and then got admitted into the college.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of our college is pretty good. Most of them have very in-depth knowledge about a certain subject. They are very friendly and helpful as well. We must know which professor to approach for which subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
