Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum is a bit good than many other colleges which helps the students to cope up with the recent market requirements. The college is really trying to provide modern skills. The Academics is quite decent of the college but there is a negative side which I personally don't like is the frequency of examination for example there a 3 internals which are being conducted every month which seems like you have just appeared for an exam and again you are writing for the exam .

Internships Opportunities

4

As I am first year I personally don't have enough knowledge about internships but as far as I know from my seniors they told that the college give a good exposure to the companies which help the students to get internships and make the student company fit.

Placement Experience

4

The college placements are good. The average package of the CSE and CSE related streams are around 10-11 lakhs per annum. The overall average package of the college is around 6.5-7 lakhs per annum. There are many branches is this college. The highest package of the college in the current year is 56 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are 3 types of admission process - a) KCET b) COMEDK c) MANAGEMENT Total fee structure for COMEDK students :- Tuition Fees - 2,81,477 Skill Lab Fees - 32,110 Total fee Structure for KCET students:- Tution Fees - 1,07,495 Skill Lab Fees - 20,000 Total fee structure for MANAGEMENT students - Depends on the course the student are opting

Campus Life

5

The campus life is quite good than other colleges as it is in the city and well connected with metro. Almost there are 45 clubs in college which is quite and learn you skills to communicate and how to handle situations . Digital library of 7 floor is inside the college where you can study with no disturbance. There are 2 major fests conducted in this college which are - a) VIBRATIONS b) FURORE There are many student run social groups such as MUDITA which helps many people.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are 2 types of hostel in DSCE - a) INDIAN HOSTEL b) NRI HOSTEL The hostels are bit expensive. The hostel fees for Indian hostel is 180000 for 4 sharing with common washrooms . The night guard is bit strict, but the overall facility of the hostel is good even the mess is better when compared to other colleges mess.

Admission

Admission in this college can be taken from three process - COMEDK, KCET and MANAGEMENT COMEDK is 3 hour exam with 60 questions each of Physics, Chemistry ,Maths. There is no negative marking in this exam and syllabus is of 11th and 12th.

Faculty

4

Course curriculum is not as old as shown in some movies. The college is really trying to provide modern skills, but is not fully able to do so. The Academics is quite decent of the college, but there are many exams, like after every 25 days there is some kind of exam. Faculties are also decent here. Many of them are really kind and helpful towards the students but many are not .

Interview Experience

4

There were no GD or interview questions taken. Comedk is 3 hour exam with 60 questions each of physics, chemistry and maths. There is no negative marking in this exam and syllabus is of 11th and 12th. I prepared for questions banks of COMEDK and many videos of COMEDK in YouTube

Night Life

5

There is a gym , cafeteria and a 7 story library in our college. Which is quite affordable and good in all terms Hostels are in a bit strict side as the intime is 9:30pm and also in the night for the hostel students the college in time is 9:30 pm. There are many hangout places inside the campus such as amphitheatre, rock garden , cafeteria , conveno and many more where you can chill alone or with your friends .

Other Applied Colleges

Vellore Institute of Technology - [VIT University] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)

Because it has degraded it's reputation by increasing the number of seats . It looks very over crowded for the sake of money

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
