Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course cirriculum isn't that interesting and is standard as any other average college, I chose this course because I wanted a degree in this field and Sandip was more than welcome to accept students like me. The exam timings are not very frequent which provides us time to prepare for the exams as well as focus on our own working skills. The Course Cirriculum can greatly improve by focusing more on student's feedback as well as increasing interactive sessions.

Internships Opportunities

1

College did not provide much Internship opportunities yet, there was a company which was hiring for HR Intern, but no response yet. The college is not really for Internship, but is better for jobs and degree only.

Placement Experience

4

The placements provided by college is fair, students are eligible for placements from 7th semester or final year, around 15-25 companies have visited in the 7th semester. Companies like Accenture, Intellipaat, Winjit, and more visited with the packages of 4.5, 9, 3.6 LPA respectively. The highest package is 9LPA offered by Intellipaat, I was selected in Intellipaat. Percentage of students getting placed is no more than 5, because majority of the students are simply here for having fun and for the degree. I plan to upskill myself and get my dream job at Google after I finish my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee is 112000, there is no scholarship provided for any category, although I'm from OPEN category, the fee structure for me or any other category member is the exact same. The college does not provide any additional information regarding the fee structure breakdown leaving the students clueless about the fees they're paying.

Campus Life

5

Campus life at Sandip is great, various festivals are held here which provides various opportunities to individuals as well as teams. CESA, MESA, and more held events twice every year. Sandip provides various sports opportunities around November and March every year. College library is huge and contains books covering various fields and interests.

Admission

I simply chose this college because this was the only college in Nashik that I could take admission in, this was my backup college and I was selected in Suman Ramesh Tulsini College of Engineering, Pune for the CS Branch, but as it was far and based on the bad reviews at the college, I chose to enroll in Sandip University for my degree. The admission process for Sandip University is very simple and straight-forward, you simply provide the branch name, and pay initial installment fees (Rs. 10000/- in my case), submit previous educational documents, and they'll take care of the rest. There is no requirement for admission in Sandip University, they just care about quantity and money.

Faculty

2

The faculty to student ratio is not so good, but if someone has any doubts they'll clear it and make the teaching experience better, the faculty members are not so welcoming when it comes to solving doubts apart from the ongoing lectures. I personally like Dr. Nath while in my second year as he was by far one of the best faculty member I experienced, the way he taught with interest, took time on solving our doubts and much more. I did'nt liked Dr. Anandsingh Rajawat as he never gave proper answers to any of my doubts. The exam system is simple, CIA and final exams, the CIA contains four sections, one for attendance, one for presentations, one for exams (50 marks), and the last for assignments, followed by 100 marks final exams. The exams are not so difficult and not so easy at the same time, I'd say the exams are a bit simpler than the SPPU.

Night Life

2

I haven't experienced any night-life at Sandip, but based on my friend's experiences they limit various activities during night time to prevent students from having "late-night fun" which is good. Gym is there which has almost all equipments for training every body muscle. It is not safe to roam around sandip at unusual times as it is resided on an empty highway which attracts a lot of issues and fear.

Placement Experience:

Placement at GH Raisoni College Of Engineering and Management are moderate, especially for CSE/AI Student . Students become eligible from the 7th sem. companies like TCS, Infosys, and WIPro visit the campus. The higher package goes upto around 8-10 LPA, and the average Package is 3-4 LPA. Around 60-75% of students get placed. After graduation, i plan to work in software/AI roles and improve my skills through internship and Certifications.

Placement Experience:

The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1:20, and most teachers are quite approachable if you meet them during their free slots. I really appreciate the senior professors in the core departments because they have deep subject knowledge and explain concepts practically. However, some newer faculty members tend to stick strictly to the textbook or slides, which makes the lectures a bit dry. Since the college follows the SPPU pattern. I chose this course after a long CAP round process. Initially, I was aiming for VIT or DY Patil in Pune, and even checked out colleges in Mumbai and MVP KBTCOE in Nashik, but I ultimately landed here at AISSMS. The curriculum is quite comprehensive for building a strong engineering foundation, though I feel it could include more industry-relevant tools and coding workshops.

Placement Experience:

The placments are overall moderately good especially if you are from electrical branches including Electrical , Electronics, Computer, and Instrumentation Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. From third year onwards internship season starts where companies visits our campus and students need to go through online tests and series of interviews for each companies to get offer where the students selected for offer need to attend the internship after the end of third year in may and june when college have holidays. Similarly Based on performance the interns may get full time offer as well. Full Time Placement starts in final year and the process is exactly same where the interviews are mostly online and the students placed gets the offer letter. Almost 90 - 95% of the students especially of above branches gets placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

So the Computer Engineering is all about core subjects which are really helpful for future like cloud, iot and Database etc But the syllabus of the university change after every 4 years and there is nothing but removing one subject and add another similar subject but I think in era of Ai and automation the syllabus is sort of outdated like if you are getting in Second year you have to learn subject which you have not interested in so you have to learn those subjects anyway and if you want to learn more about new skills you have to do it by yourself.
