Remarks

antastic enviroment always postive vibes enjoyed each day being there superb campus teaching and non teaching staff both are kind office staff is kind principal is a godman always supports new intiative for the betterment of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course Curriculum is good considering it is drafted by the renowned Mumbai University, but to make education more better APSIT conducts various activities like Project Based Learning, E-library, compulsory enrollment in at least one MOOC.

Internships Opportunities

Yes,the college provides internship but mostly these are unpaid month long training/internships in government, government related departments working in the field of engineering. I haven't opted for such internship , but I have done a internship through referral, but the experience shared by some peers seems to be satisfactory considering the small duration which university manages to allot for semester breaks.

Placement Experience

3.5

The training and placement cell of APSIT,Thane headed by Mr.Faisal Khan has constantly kept on arranging good MNCs for students. The overall placement scenario for computer science,IT,EXTC has been great with very less opportunities for mechanical and civil engineering due to economic slowdown in these fields as of now.

College Events

4.5

There are continuously events being conducted throughout the year. The core committees like Lakshya-Social Wing, Student Council, MESA, IGBC, CSI etc have always been active on keeping great events. The most awaited 10 day long festival named OJUS is conducted and organized flawlessly.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible and not too expensive. The total fees for batch 2018-19 is about 1.10 lakhs which is decent considering the various facilities availed by the students. The college administration also provides installment payments without any extra charges for those of whom do not wish to avail bank loans.

Fees and Financial Aid

The College provides scholarship which are made mandatory by Government of Maharashtra for economically backward class students. Also the college has collaborated with some renowned banks for providing education loans to students with low interest rates.

Campus Life

4.5

Being a mechanical engineering student , the committee of MESA conduts valuable extracurricular activities like the particiaption in solar car making competion, club membership and active event orrganixation in ISHRAE and SAE.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are no hostel facilities provided by college but the college management helps in finding the perfect accommodation suitable for one's budget.Being in the middle of buzzling city of Thane there are numerous options nearby ranging from independent flats to paying guests facility.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students are helpful as they guide the juniors very well for studies, career advancements, academic projects, extracurricular activities. Alumni network is not too large yet because of recent inception of the great phase of APSIT Thane

Exam Structure

There 2 Unit test exams of 20/40 marks , followed by practical/viva exams if specified by Univ. Of Mumbai. The efficient exam schedules help scoring good marks with prior preparation for semester exams. There month long semester exams in months of November-December and May-June.

Admission

During the 2015 batch , the admissions were done on the basis of merit just like the way its even done today in this college. I had taken up mechanical engineering discipline though the 3rd CAP round conducted by DTE, Maharashtra on the basis of overall state-rank by combining both JEE Mains Exam and State Board HSC percentage.

Faculty

4

Faculty is highly educated, mostly many with PhD or currently working for PhD, faculty has good experience of teaching , also the senior faculty co-coordinating core members are highly intellectual and smart in planning every study related activity very well

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
