- Having more than 100 years of alumni network that can be beneficial for mentorships,placements and job opportunities. Some renowned alumnus are C.E.O of various companies such as C.E.O. of Orient cables ,C.E.O. of Physics Wallah, C.E.O. of Indiamart.
- Faculty are highly qualified and having completed their masters and phd from IITs.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure of college is old and want a little bit of renovation.
- There is a little bit of ragging environment which sometimes convert into voilence.
- The location of west campus{HOSTELS} is far away from the east campus where all the academics sessions are held.
Course Curriculum Overview
1. Mainly Very Large Scale Integration(VLSI) Technology. (4/5) 2.The curriculum is quite apt. from core electronics engineering prospective. (4/5) 3.The curriculum can further include topics related to advanced semiconductor fabricating process. (3/5) 4.The frequency of exams are perfect considering from the prospective of studius students. Althougth the timings of exams can be further improved. (3/5)

Highest package-32 lpa , Average paakage -7.2 lpa. (2023-2024) 4. Campus Life
1.ADHYAAY, TECHNIKA , AAGAZ, CHEM TECHNOVA. 2.CENTRAL TAGORE LIBRARY Due to the oldest college library is very much comparable to iits. 3. Digital classrooms , Labs of core branches are good enough, Machinery in workshop are in working conditions ( some are rare also ). 4.All types of sports played in college .There are the availaibility of football ground , cricket ground , vollyball ground ,basket ball ground etc.Indoor games are also played very energetically. 5.There are 9 sub councils which consists varios clubs such as Aeroclub, Autorob, Technika, Poetry, Octave, Groove, Photography etc.
Hostel Facilities
1.In the room one bed, one table and chair, one almirah available. Fans ,Light ,Switch boards provided by the hostel. 2.Meal quality is decent according to pay .(3.5/5) Breakfast, Lunch, Evening snacks and beverages, Dinner given by mess. 3.You can apply online as well as off line for hostel after councelling process. 4.PG, Room available near the university about 200 metres of distancing from hostels of college at affordable amount .
Admission
1.I applied for nits and iiits after securing a precise rank in JEE Mains 2024 .I choose this college because the nits that i got in josaa and csab were comparable to HBTU and their location very much far from my preffered location. 2.No i did not recieve any kind of rejection from other colleges, it was just that the colleges to whom i had applied for were mostly comparable to this college(HBTU). 3.The college takes admissions through its own counselling process. Eligibility criteria - 65% in intermediate(For General Students) JEE Mains Common Rank List (CRL) CUTOFFS- https://hbtu.admissions.nic.in/ (look for previous year archives)
Faculty
1.The faculty to student ratio is quite good and most of the faculty are easily approachable and accessible .Overall the faculties ensure the overall development of students from their side . 2.Braj Bhushan sharma is one of the faculty that i liked during my physics course as he was very much encourging towards students throughout the course. Some of the other best includes faculties from Physics,Mathematics and engineering graphics 3.The faculty that i did not like belonged to civil department as the faculty was very much concerned about marks instead of the deep understanding of the subject. 4.There are total 6 subjects in each semester. Currently there are 3 exams during a single semester. The first two include 1st Mid semester and 2nd Mid semester each consisting of 15 marks each.The last exam is the End semester exam consisting of 50 in each subject. Apart from exams 20 marks are based on assesment by the subject professor. Overall most of the students are able to pass the exams (87% approx.). The course is quit relevent considering from core engineering principles prospective.
Night Life
1.There is a gymnasium in west campus of HBTU. There are 5 canteens in east campus of this college. CENTRAL TAGORE LIBRARY PRESENT in east campus . (10 am -08 pm) 2. 6 Girls hostels in east campus. 2Boys hostels in east campus for freshers , 6 boys hostels in west campus for seniors . 3.Students usually chill out at Canteens ,Openstage ,Shatabdi pillar etc inside the college' There is Zudio available in just 1 km. Kanpur Metro available in just 3 km. Kanour zoological park in just 500 metres.
