Huge campus area with a lot of trees all around
Quite good and pleasing infrastructure

Location of the college is 25 kms away from city

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is quite good for applied course. Some Faculty members provide students with knowledgeable updates and exposure regarding the applied course. Day to day practicals and surveying helps the students to get information about the applied course.

Class Size: 58Course Fees: INR 37275 per year

Internships Opportunities

Minimum or no internship opportunities are provided by the campus . Only small surveys and counselling are conducted by college for all over awareness regarding career. Minimum or almost no job packages are provided

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees (including 2 semesters) is 37 thousand approx including University charges. University fees for jk board passed students is comparitively less than other students who have passed from other than jk board

Campus Life

Only one or two cultural fests are held yearly arranged by the student council. Books regarding syllabus only are hugely provided in the library. No basketball court or any other sports ground is maintained

Admission

A govt exam known as Jkcet is required to be passed for getting addmission in Government College of engineering and technology, Jammu. Student should be eligible to pass the exam and then can get easily selected for desired course.

Faculty

The faculty of College is quite friendly and communicative to the students. Most of the teachers are quite understanding and helpful. But some faculty members pays no attention to syllabus and topics required to pass the exams

Night Life

One library is provided inside the campus. Girls hostel has not been constructed yet. No exposure to city life as college is 20 kms away from city. The only famous hangout spot is "Momos aur chai vali dukan" opposite the gate of the campus

My opinion about nit

Likes

I like the diversity and culture of college students come from all states each festival is celebrated with fun .
The infrastructure is good providing facilities like library, amphitheatre, auditorium etc.
I like college ground where we can walk and relieve from academics

Dislikes

College infrastructure can be improved in rainy season there is water accumulation at many places , water drainage system should be there .

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester student become eligible for placement. The companies visited are L &T for civil which is big company and select many students, jsw for mechanical and increff , paypal , microsoft, visa ,make my trip for IT and CSE

My best college

Likes

One thing I liked about my college is Huge campus area.
Other thing l liked about my college is good infrastructure
Another thing I liked about my college is well experienced faculty

Dislikes

The thing I disliked about my college is delay in your any complain

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in 8th semester. Companies like L&T construction, Ambuja cement, tata , wipro, jio , Berger, infosys, IBM and many more visit the college. Highest package is around 17 LPA and average package is around 5 LPA . Almost 30 percent students get placement. My plan is to get off campus placement.

Likes

College's weather is too pleasant and the air quality is also good
The environment is also very good and also the view is very nice
Seniors are very friendly in college and also the college has strict punishment for ragging.

Dislikes

The hostel food is not upto the level that a student expect.
The facility sometimes does not able to connect with Students
Hostels are very far away from the department and students have to move very far from the hostel

Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is Average and the students are eligible in 7 semester for placement. If the student has any backlog in any of the semester they can't sit in the college placement and also it has minimum criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The percentage of students getting placement is very low sadly

A comprehensive Review

Likes

Firstally i like in my college is hostel it is located in college campus .
The second thing like in my college is campus area located in between mountain.
the last thing is about one teacher he help me in everything.

Dislikes

The first thing i do not like is transport in my college it is the major problem in my college.
The second thing is there are no proper lectures everyday one of them faculty is absent
The last thing is not a proper medical facielities

Placement Experience:

The placement at my college are fairly strong, with a focus on proving opportunities for student in both technical field and non-technical fields. various reputed companies visit our campus for placement like TCS, infosys, and many more.The highest package aroun INR 40 LPA. the majority of the offers are for cybersecurity. My plan is for business after the degree.

The faculties are top notch and very supportive and helpful
Campus life is good because it is very large campus area
We have isro and drdo in our campus which is a very good thing

Dislikes

the university is still under construction
their is limited access of resourses as it is under construction
