Course Curriculum Overview

5

I have took CSE(Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning) branch. I was interested in AI so i took this course. The curriculum is very well defined for the course and it prepares you for the real-world applications. We also have computer science core subjects like operating system, computer network,etc... These subjects are a part of curriculum so that we should not lack in placements as many companies ask questions around this subject. The Courses must be somewhat deviated to practicality rather than theory. The frequency of exams should be per unit completed so that student can memorize the concepts frequently.

Internships Opportunities

5

There are lot of internship oppurtunities provieded from off campus and also on campus internships. The on campus internship that is provided during my study is Optum company for a software engineer role that has a stipend of 40,000/- per month. The most of the internships are given to the candidates who cracked the full time role for many companies. This include 60K per month by PORTER company. There are many other comapnies that provide internships I cannot remember but internships are provided for students in large numbers. There must be two technical projects from students domain so that he can impress the recruiter. Inorder to crack internships the student should have a CGPA greater than 9.

Placement Experience

5

The placements are very good in this college. The companies like cognizant, accenture, tech mahindra offer a average salary of 3.5- 5.5 LPA. This year they also brought TCS, infosys, darwinbox ai, porter and optum companies. These compaines provide a salary greater than 8 LPA to 18LPA based on role assigned. Most of the offers are for the role of software engineers. This year we had completed arount 500+ placement offers. The highest package offered this year is 52 LPA. From 6th semester you will be eligible for some companies and from 7th semester all are eligible for compaines (students without backlogs).

Fees and Financial Aid

I am a BC-B category student.I got a rank of 12863, so, 35000/- reimbursement will be provided by the government and 1 lakh should be paid by me. The tution fee sum up to 1,35,000/-. The admission fees per year will be 5500/- for CSE-Allied branches and 8500/- for core branches. The registration fee per year will be 2500/-. And you will be having examination fee of 1350/- per semester. No other lab fees are charged. Incase of management student, all the above charges are applicable same and obviously they do not get scholarship so the total tution fee to be paid would be 1,35,000/- per year. Incase of SC/ST students the tution fee will be completely covered by government and remaining fees should be pay by student. If the father or mother of a student work for government services, there will be no reimbursement even if they get rank below 10000 and irrespective of their caste. If any student get rank below 10000 their tution fee will be covered under full fee reimbursement.

Campus Life

5

The name of the traditional fest that happens before sankranthi is called as Avirbhav. Avirbhav is generally a technical fest that happens in mid of January. The library consists of all the books required for student academics and also contains journals. There will be also computers provided in library for access. The sports and other extracurricular activities are conducted regularly in college. There are technical groups and also social groups and NCC.

Admission

I have got an eamcet rank of 12863. So I applied for top 10 campuses in telangana such as JNTU-H campus, VNRVJIT, GRRR, Vasavi, CBIT,etc.... I have applied only cse and allied branches of cse and I have applied for BVRIT since it is very close to my hometown. Many of my neighbours had studied in Bvrit and now are working for top mnc's. Based on my rank I got CSE(AI&ML) in BVRIT. If i had got a better rank than this, then i would have secured a seat in top 5 campuses. The admission process is very simple. You have to bring certificates and after going to college for counselling you will be given a student coordinator for your admission process. The admission process is online and there will be minimal paperwork. The exams accepted for my course is EAMCET and ECET. The cutoff will be below 13000-14000 rank.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is very decent and there is always an extra lecturer is available in case any other faculty is absent. I personally like Dr. D Mahendar, mathematics lecturer. The reason why i like him was he personally take care of each and every student academics. In the first year, he taught us Linear Algebra and Calculus, our branch has got the greater number of O(extraordinary) grade and the pass percentage is very high for this subject from our branch. There in no faculty I hate. There will be two mid-sem exams for subjects and one external examination. The mid-term exams are easy and semester exam will be moderate - difficult. If the paper is hard then 10% of the class will be failed maximum but if the paper is easy to moderate then only 1 or 2 will fail the exam. Each and every course will be most relevant to the curriculum.

Night Life

5

The library usually starts at 8:00 AM in morning and closes at 11:00 PM at night. There is also a gym provided for hostelers and also dayscholars. We also have indoor games like chess and carroms. The hostel will be closed at 10:00 PM at night and we can roam around campus till 10:00 PM. The most famous hangout place include near pond in college and indoor sports complex. The locality safe to roan around at night will be near cafeterias.

Other Applied Colleges

Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology - [GRIET] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
