Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum was good as it provided the basic knowledge of each and every prospect but still some of the latest tech that is been asked in the market the most is not being taught till now which makes the placement difficult for the students. The frequency of exams makes the students study which is good.

Placement Experience

3

The placement of college is average as many companies don't come to college due to its reputation and those who come they are mixed like they bring sales company for tech students. Most of majority companies are sales and tech companies are rare. Even many companies that come leave the placements season in middle without telling anyone and the college placement cell don't have their contact number. The college says that if you are placed in any company then you can't sit in any placement even though the company you are placed is 4 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees was initially less during the lockdown and tuitions fess was only 150000 and after lockdown was also over still the fees was not increased so it was good till that time but then when third year started they increased the hostel fees by 25000 and also the tuition fees by 30000 without any reason even thought we were getting same facility and every semester then the fees tends to increased by 30000 which made me graduated with very high fees as compared to other colleges. No scholarship is available to students as they are doing business and not a educational institute.

Campus Life

3

The annual fest that happens is very low bugget as college don't believe in extra curriculum activities they tend to believe that it's waste of time. They used to provide very low budget to the clubs that the clubs are not able to make the event successful. Only the tech clubs used to get good budget. The money of budget was used by teachers for their comfort.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel in college has such small rooms and the floors of rooms were only cemented. The facility was good but not that great and the meal quality was also good but the mess for hostel was outside hostel so we have to walk till there. The registration is easy for hostel but the fees is too high and according to the condition of hostel the fees is not justified.

Admission

I applied to this college as it had good reputation that time but now year by year it's reputation is falling as the college is now focusing on money and not on good students. I had other opportunities from many college in Bangalore like Ramaiah and RV college but they were far away to my hometown so that's why I chose this college. Before Covid it used to take admission through JEE but during Covid when I took admission it took admission by boards exam and that's how I got in. The cutoff now to take admission is being easy as year by year they are decreasing the cutoff as they need maximum admission so that they can have money.

Faculty

3

The faculty was good as some was very friendly and some was not. Few faculty didn't even care if students don't study or do something else but few of them were very strict. Even some faculty didn't have full knowledge in their subject they just used to learn before lecture and just like a robot speak it infront of class. The exam made by the teachers depends on which teacher used to make the exam paper. If a particular teacher makes the exam paper then the questions would be from their recommendated books or from their notes.

Night Life

2

The gym in campus was not maintained good most of the equipment was broken. There was only one cafeteria in whole campus so it's was difficult to find seats in that for you to sit and eat. The library was good as it had every book that was needed. The famous hangout of everyone in college was outside gate number 1 of college ram bhaiya tea stall which was where everyone used to be seen. The college last entry timing was 9 PM after that there were no entry and for boys there were no hostel timing but for girls it was 10 PM.

Placement Experience:

Placements are actually impressive with our college having the highest placement rate among others in the region. We usually achieve ~90% placement. We get opportunities from many large groups, such as Infosys, TCS, JPMC, BNY, Logitech, etc etc The list goes on. The highest package that I saw was of around 1Cr from a company I don't remember their name, but it was based out of SF and was a really great one. Average placement we see is around 12-20LPA packages.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opted for this course because I want to be a software engineer. I chose my course because it was well-informed, and my interest was also in this field from the start. The faculty members and platform were also quite good for nurturing personal skills and making one a skilled and disciplined person in life. I wish this course would focus more on practical things rather than being theoretical. Events, fests, and the campus environment are also very good and pleasing to the eye. Connectivity was also easy from all around the world due to its location. Scholarships were also awarded to almost every student.

Placement in GCET is one of the good In greater Noida colleges. The average package of this college is 4-6 L.P.A. Companies like TCS, J.P Morgan, Josh Technology, L.G etc visited every year. Mass recruiters like wipro, infosys, capegemini also visited every year. About 85% students every year placed from the college. After getting degree my plans are getting very good placemnt from this college.
