What Students Say

Likes

The amazing place the college is located
The football field and goal posts and the basketball court
The way everyone treats you like no ragging or college fights

Dislikes

The amount of discontinued students are high
The travell distance between my home and college
The wasting of good quality football ground

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the course because of the increasing rate of technology in our daily lives. The curriculum prepares you to become a good programer and it teaches how our daily life is conected very much to technology. I suggest that they tech how to use other programs like editing softwares and online earning startups .The frequent exams prepare you well for the actuall exams

Class Size: 17Course Fees: INR 36000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The college has some internship programs with tech companies but the information are not yet talked into students but the first year was with no internships and i think the interview will be only after the 3rd year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college is good if you want a degree and be qualified into a better future but if it comes to freinds ,sports, and your other athletic abilitys i dont think sngc is for you. They even doing course with only 3 students in an entire class it was very sad to see them with no friends to bond in class the college sucks in enjoyment but you can have a degree though. The subjects are very simple anyone can pass but i don't recommend this college as a first year student at this college

Campus Life

There is no social life for me at college.I like to play football and i was hoping to up my game by joining college football camp and such things doesn't even exist in my college sadly. I like sports very much but there isnt even a gim in the college very bad choice to join the college made by me because i love sports. And all other programs just sucks

Admission

I choose this college because of the low rate of students and ragging compare to other colleges and the low rate of fees.i wanted join a college near my house called Alade arts and sports college but the money was already spent and my family couldn't reinvest in me .The admission process was very bad my friends and family were forcing me to go to this college i really never wanted to

Faculty

The faculties are very kind but sone arent like the first year English teacher i had she used call us trash and useless thats not a way to treat your students There are 2 internal and one model and the actual sem exams.I dont like the HOD because they are always rude in a way

Night Life

There is no night life . College will be free of class after 3 pm and i will be home by 5 pm and i just relax a bit after the 5 pm football Match at my home town. For me theres no night life at college

girls to boys ratio is 1:1 is we consider all three branches with some courses with more male while other having for female.more or less the ratio is near 1:1
the most important thing for you is there is close to zero discrimination for you , whether you want to join any club or perform anything you are equivalent to students with others bachelor degree
octagon and library are the two things which are good as library is considered the biggest library among all nit's while octagon having 800 computers for students.NSO ground is also well maintained with the beautiful mig fighter jet to take cool phot

Dislikes

for first years hostel are well maintained if compared with others but don't expect much from hostel atlast this is a government college.in first year 3 to 4 person sharing room are there which was build to carry 2 person.
Quant and entrepreneur thing is not there as you might expect by seeing the nirf 9 ranking but it is not zero .they are growing clubs like profNITT and Sigma are young and they could do better
curfew timing for girls are 9 or 9:30 pm i guess be it any year. for boys ,only freshers have curfew with timing 9:30 pm.other than that any student can't step outside the college after 10 pm without the sign out form.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as maths is the mother of all science and quite related to other fields so it opens a lot of door for me like mba ,mtech ,phd or any other things. this course is specifically designed for becoming teachers so keep that in mind before taking this course as they are not flexible in changing curriculum or adding something for the sake of students as of now. also you will be having more working days compared to other courses with 80 percent mandatory attendance.after first sem you will get 1 week holiday and after 2nd sem you will get 50.days holiday and after first year you can expect 20 days holiday for winters and 50 days holiday for summers. you will get a lot of time to study for exams. before ct 1 you can expect 2 months and then atleast a month for ct 2 and endsems. cons are that you don't have the right to choose minor or electives like btech students.you have to compulsory study all three science .i.e. maths , physics, chemistry.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Likes

The faculties are very well experienced and there are captains who stay in the campus itself, so if there’s something we need they will be available all the time
The facilitieslike labs, ship in campus, DB tank facilities etc are top notch
The classrooms are fully air conditioned. There’s smart board. Overall everything is really good and also neat and clean

Dislikes

Galley food can improve a little and canteen is comparatively small for such a big campus
They are not conducting intra- college events and inter-college events is very less

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.

Just visit the college office and fill the application form and submit your 10th and 12th certificates. To do an undergraduate course you must pass 10th and 12th with a minimum of 50% marks.
