Course Curriculum Overview

The college is autonomous under the curriculum of vtu(Visvesvaraya Technological University). Ai & Data science branch has 2 sections G & H. Vtu is actually very lazy, they released our USN(University Registration Number) very late due to which many students were not able to apply for scholarships. The exam timetable is very hectic. They don't give study leave in between.

Internships Opportunities

our final year student "Ms.Shirin George bearing USN 1CR21EC200 has received an Amazon Internship for 6 months with a stipend of Rs.1,10,000 per month.This is through off campus" This message was shared by the college. There are many many students who cracked off campus internship like GSoc, Ur Rao satellite center with the help of alumini assistance.

Placement Experience

The recent selects in my colleges are getting a decent placement package, but there are many less students. Students become eligible for placement in the 7th semester. Highest package was offered by a Japanese company of 43 LPA previous year. Recently my senior got 33LPA package from Ark. Ltd. I want to join indian army as an commissioned officer after completion of my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees is 3.2 Lakhs for COMEDK students. Total fees is approx 12.7 Lakhs. Tuition fee is included in this 36k/yr. Breaking down the fee structure: 2.61 Lakhs/yr is COMEDK Fee, 20k per/yr is lab fees and the other compulsory charges. 34k additional college fee for Karnataka students and 36k for Non-Karnataka Students. Fee is literally too much.

Campus Life

There are many events every week in the college. Recently they are celebrating Silver Jubilee for completion of 25 years. The sports event is called SPARDHA, which was held on December 2024. Around 25 colleges participated in this event. There are many clubs which conduct activities every week. The library is well organised and large. Classroom benches are not comfortable and bad quality boards. We have good sports facilities but don't have good players.

Admission

I gave Jee Mains, KCET, COMEDK examinations. I got Acharya Institute of technology in the 2nd Round of Comedk counselling which I accepted and upgraded and got CMRIT In the 3rd round. The college admits students through KCET, COMEDK, and Management Quota.

Faculty

The faculty-to-student ratio is approximately 1:15. Faculties are experienced and highly approachable. The Soft skill faculties are supportive and provide necessary training for placement. The Hod of Physics Dr Raveesha is very strict in terms of discipline and attendance. There are 2 internal assessment and 1 external exam for every semester.

Night Life

There are many places near the college. Kundanhalli Mall, Gym, Rameshwaram Cafe, kfc, dominos. Bagmane technology park. Hostel timing: closes 10:00 Pm, campus timings: 6-8 Pm. Kundanhalli lake is aldo nearby.

Likes

Making it compulsory to do projects from first year onwards and emphasizing on publishing papers which are good for longer run
Skill labs is fun and useful (in general for most branches)
No ragging, students are not discriminatory and are helpful

Dislikes

Though projects are good, at times it becomes difficult to manage so many at the same time
During CIE's, there are 2 exams on one day which makes it tough
Some teachers dont follow marks breakdown and give marks as they feel. Especially for lab manuals.. they dont check the manual and put random marks

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

The maintenance of campus is good ,and the college events , and the teaching level is also excellent and the particular student have there own mentor they guide in each thing
The way they support us encourge us for our success and support in every situation and also support to the students in placment or training opportunities
If we lack or we are in problem they will support to come out if that with good solution

Dislikes

the college is not too strict for that reason the students may spoil easily
the ratio of our college is like 60:40 that is the majority are boys , and the college fan are slow which cause problem in summer
the college washrrom are not clean that cause problem,lack if industry

At the 6 th semester the students are eligible for placements and compaines visited our college are cloud fabric , crafty sogo , congnizent and some training like v tech , qspriders , pentagon space,alpheoleo , medini and some more the highest package is 5 lakh and the lowest is 3 lakh . around 10 to 15 students have been placed from cse dept after the degree i have one good salary job so to settle my life

I like the fact that our faculties are pretty good

So from 5 th semester you are eligible to apply for an internship and after 6 th sem or ending you can sit for the full time roles , so as of now highest package is 28 lpa and lowest may be 5 lpa almost 95 percentage of students get placed . I "ll be doing job after my college

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs

They not focusing on the sports activities
The college campus is very small it’s just of 8 acres
The ratio of boys girls is 2:1 in the college

Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is great like and avg package is 100000 and it's in campus from 2st semester only the students become eligible for campus placement. Flipkart,TCL and aml many more companies came the highest package in 2023 got of 52 lakh in AIMl and the avg package is 10 lakh. The percentage of the students getting placements is 60-70% my plans after getting the degree to do master in abroad

It's a good environment in the college and spacious classrooms
There is no sort of ragging all the seniors are super friendly
Good teaching staff they help in all fields

Dislikes

No proper management for the events and attendance for the students taking part

Campus selections are available companies like TCS,wipro and many more come to our college do the campus selection the highest package was 1,25,000 and the lowest was 55,000 almost more than half of the students get placed during the campus selections and the rest by the end of the course get a job

One of the best colleges or universities for B Tech and pocket friendly

The campus is very good , it is peaceful , it has the best environment for a student to pursue his studies
The faculties are highly qualified , most of the faculties (lecturers) are PHD holders. They've got plenty of experience to share their knowledge with the students
We've got plenty of opportunities to improve our skills , lecturers gives us more space to solve our doubts.

Dislikes

For a B-tech college it is new , we are still expecting the campus placements
The campus is a bit underrated for a B-tech college

Placement Experience:

The College was there for more than 10 years , but there was only Post graduate courses available , like M-tech , Msc , etc. The College for B-tech has started just before 2 years , there are no batches which has been output till now. The students are also waiting to see the batches to get output and see the placements taking place. As a student I am also eager about the campus placements.

What i most lile about this collage is its infrastructure styl
It has a very good environment lile very green
It even has a ganapati temple in the campus

Dislikes

Water quality is hostel is not good like not filterd properly
Hot water supply is only in morning not at all time
And i dont personally hate anything on the campus

Placement Experience:

The placement in the college are very good actually like more then 300 companies have visited the college and more then 950 jobs have been offered to the students companies like infosys, tcs, wallmart, global tech india, accenture, visa, dell technology, intel etc and mass recruter are companies lile infosys and tcs which gove 50+ and 60+ offers respectively. And last year there where 8 students who got 64 lpa and in which four(4) students where from information science and engineering that is our department. Our department is very good and if you take information science you can get a very good job
