Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course is relevant and includes skill enhanching courses like python,c++,java. Mathematical skill also help in advancing knowledge. Teaching method of teachers is very examplary and by viusualization method which provides visionary knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

4

In the course students have to enroll and complete 1 internship by the final year. Teachers play a crucial role in helping students in their internship. I have enrolled in Tata data analyst course in which I need to present visual representation the data as per the requirement of CEO and CMO.

Placement Experience

3

From 5th semester students becomes eligible for campus placement. Top hiring companies are ICICI bank, FUSION BPO, tech mahindra etc. 70% of the students get placement through college. I want to go for higher studies (M.Sc) as well as perparing for Armed Forces.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of the college is very clear and transparent. Fee:-7500 (including everything, except examination fee) Examinatiom fee-?(400+200)×2 per year For the whole course fee would be around ?22k and +-5k for books and copies The scholarship like swami vivekanand merit cum means scholarship is available.

Campus Life

2

College provides an average campus life including games like carrom, badminton. The annual sports is played in the month of january or february every year. NSS is also a part of our student's union play crucial role in framing a well being in students.

Admission

This was my first preference and I got this college following the marks in 12th standard. This college is near to my home, college provides better faculty advancement, oppurtunities for N.C.C, N.S.S. Admission process in our college can be done by 2 ways. 1)Through college portal. 2)Through wbcap portal. Admission process is easy and accessible

Faculty

5

The college faculty are naturally good for the students in respect of cooperation, knowledge. The most liked faculty of the college is SIR PRADIP DUTTA, ARIJIT GHOSH SIR AS WELL AS teachers of mathematics department SM SIR, SB SIR, SH SIR. The faculty to student ratio is very good that I would rate best. Ratio of teacher to student vary on courses. For every teacher 1:20 remains the ratio. The exams are taken semester wise. Questions are a bit difficult as the paper is set by. Majority of students pass and a few got backlog. Course of calcutta university is undoubtedly helpful for skill development and make the student market ready.

Night Life

3

Gym available without A.C. Canteen provides consumeable quality of food. The locality is safe to roam around in the night as well. Hang places in kolkata is in park street but not recommended to be visited.

Other Applied Colleges

Asutosh College | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc]

I got my first preference in Anandamohan college

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
