Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course is good in-fact it has all required theories in maths, for engineering physics, chemistry, electricals and electronics, mechanical ,mechanics, basic civil and engineering graphics, biology and technical communication. I feel that all these are required for a first year engineering student. the teachers use ppts and referal books for class and explain each and every topic profesionally. there will be exams every month and you will have max 30 days in bitween the exams where the teacher would complete the portion and as soon as the portion is completed you will have an exam the exams at the begening seem to be hard to study off, later as exams passed by you will be used to it.

Internships Opportunities

4

Students have secured interships in companies such as TCS, IBM, Cisco, ValusLabs and transUnion for roles like software engineer, data analyst, and market analyst approx-60% of students obtained interships in reputable companies with estimated stipends of 58,000 to 78,000 Rs. PA some Best research projects are Universal Digital Library Project- in collab with microsoft/edutec this project aimed to create a comprehencive digital library accessible to a global audience. R&D Statictics Project-funded by department of science and technology(DST), this initiative focused on compiling and analyszing reseach and development statistics to inform policy and strategic decisions and Implementation of R&D project in Electrical and Electronics Engineering by AICTE,this project involved the prectical application of research and development in the field of electrical and electronic engineering.

Hostel Facilities

In Vinaya Block-1 boys get a steel bed, a chair, a table, 2cupboard with shelf for storage, also students can use Giezers 24/7 and RO water from various filters attached in hostel and also cleaning servents who clean room for 2 times a week. The Vinaya block-1,2 and 3 studets get same mess food and the food quality is average and the food tastes very average and sometimes very dull so that you feel to skip the meal. plus its completely veg and for protien source we are completely dependent on sundal which we get for snaks at evening for tea and coffee. The hostel is pretty cheap compared to other branded universities and you get the amenities for that price only. the hostel registration was done as soon as the college admission was done at a specific date and the students were allocated rooms on bases of first payment, first allotment type.

Admission

I had applied for VIT and SRM-KTR other than SASTRA I got seat on both VIT-V and SRM-KTR for Bio-Medical Engineering one after other, as i got seat on different college i cancelled the other college's admission and put admission on ther due to the college's fee structure. At end I got a seat in SASTRA though their rank system in which the give ranks for registered student according to jee-main's mark and 12th cbse mark, also they have quota based state and city wise like Thanjavur, trichy, tamilnadu and all india quota and there is preference.

Faculty

There are 60 students in a class and each clas will get 7-8 individual teachers for subjects there will be 2 mentors for each class who view your acadamic and non-acadamic performance and give counciling for each individual. My physics professor-Mr.Balamurugan sir i my favorate of first sem, his attitude during class and after class will make you love his subject. At first you make not like any teaching faculty but as time passes you will get their original character and that depend induvidually and at end you have acccept them. There are 3 CIAs-(Continous internal assessments) and best of 2 will be taken for internal and there will be practicals for selective subjects and with all those comes the End semister exam. During first sem i have seen my friends seem to study hard for maths , mechanics and civil because of not having much internal marks , which lead the to be failed in exam, I feel the management intend not all the students to pass the exam and also not to get full grades of having -'S' since even though having 45+ marks in internals people get 'A' grade which is 80-85 marks. The management paper correction is so lenient and getting full grades is a big task.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
