What Students Say

Likes

The way of taking care teaching the quality of maintenance of labs
Teachers being friendly to students and students being humble towards teachers
Labs and infrastructure facilities college atmosphere

Dislikes

The climatic conditions and changes in this place
Limited area for playing not much as an university
Not sufficient class rooms for all branches and not more than 2 fest per year

Course Curriculum Overview

Amrita have one of the best curriculum's which will be updated for every 4 years and provied sequential and proper way of learning the courses starting from basics and then going to advaned . They conduct exams frequently and the difficulty level is not too hard but hard enough

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 275000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There will be different fees based on slabs which will assigned during admission either based on AEEE exam or JEE mains.non scholarship slab fee would be around 6 lakh. No sc st reservations . Almost all cse related branches have the same fee and if once the fee is paid no other fee will be taken as lab fees and etc

Campus Life

I had a good experience in my campus yes we do have many clubs for sports and extra curricular activities and even for tech . Anokha and vidyut are some multi national fest that happens in our campus . There is a vast collection of books and journals and we also have digital library

Hostel Facilities

We have good enough facilities in our hostel room . There are PG's outside but better to stay in hostel . The quality of food is not that good and non veg food will not be provided . It is easy to register for hostel and more affordable

Hostel Fee: INR 75000 per year

Admission

This campus will be more disciplined than compared to others and they take more care for students they follow so i proffered this college. And the admission process is also very flexible that includes counseling to adopt opyions in different branches of colleges according to our rank

Faculty

The faculty to student is ratio is good enough and there are limited number of students in the campus so that you can be free maximum all of the faculy members are friendly and i liked all of them . There would be one mid sem exam and one end sem exam some more class test and assignment as the other colleges

Night Life

There are gyms , libraries, playgrounds and many hostels . At night we have to be in hostel by 9 and after 9 we need permission to go out yes there are some places inside and outside the campus to hang out but that will crowded always

The campus is well maintained and is clean
Teachers are willing to give individual attention if needed
Above average food is provided in canteen

Dislikes

Lack of campus life as college is strict
Majority of the staff members are the type to hold a grudge against you
Spoon feeding students and not allowing them to think and improvise accordingly

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from semester 6 onwards. But campus placement for civil engineering is fairly low. But companies like Aarbee Structures Pvt Ltd has offered jobs for my mates

Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.

Placement Experience:

Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year, project phases.
Fests, events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan, infosys, commandtech, bimlabs, gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Comprehensive review of amrita Vishwa vidyapeetam - amritapuri campus:A blend of academic Excellence and campus life

When choosing a college several factors played a role in my decision to select Amma the Vishwa vidyapeethum campus from my cyber security program over other institutions applied to. Compared with other colleges I applied to 1. VIT Vellore 2. BITS Pilani 3. SRM institute of science and technology Amrita has an excellent repetition for its faculty in cyber security. The professors are experienced and have a strong academic background along with industry exposure which was highly appealing to me. Including well accepted cyber security lapse. These lamps focus on practical penetration testing ,network security ,and ethical hacking. Amrita amrutapuri is situated in a peaceful coastal area offering a conductive environment for studies the campus life is lively with several extra curricular and co curricular activities that I found very attractive. Wet Vellore and SRM also afford good campus life but were much larger in size and I felt amritas more intimate campus would be better for personalised learning....Read More
