What Students Say

Likes

The infrastructure of the college is very good.
the sport facilities like badminton and cricket are available.
The fests organised and college labs are excellent.

Dislikes

the hostel food and warden are boring. the menu keeps repaeating.
there is no night life, the hostel gate closes at 9PM.
The faculty of physics department is not up to the mark.

Course Curriculum Overview

this course has good future and will evolve a lot more for sure. to tackle this modern world is the reason i chose this course. i didn't like the policy of internals instead the weightage of end sem must be increased. frequency of exams is 2 months.

Class Size: 66Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Internships Opportunities

since i am in s1 i am not into internships but i got an offer from one of my professors to join but since i am preparing for a competitive exams timings clashed. projects will be focused from 2nd year. i am still in first year. the oppurtunities are welcoming.

Placement Experience

after s6 students become eligible for placements. companies are cisco, amazon,IBM,accenture. highest package is 52lpa,average is 7.5lpa. i have no exact number of percentage of students getting placed. i am planning to do MTECH.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid around 486600 in total. Tuition fees =400000 hostel fees=26600 mess fees=50000 caution deposit-10000 few of my friends have tution fee of 300000 and rest is same. schlorships available are slab1,2,3.

Campus Life

Vidyut(fest) is a national level fest organised in our college.the library is really big and has a variety of books. the classrooms have charging ports and euipped with projectors. Competitions are held like inter amrita. Clubs like amfoss, bios and acm are actively working.

Hostel Facilities

it a 3 member sharing room with good ventilation and 3 beds and study tables each. meal quality is good but menu is boring. it is available in the portal or you can clear queries in the reception center.

Hostel Fee: INR 26600 per year

Admission

I applied to shiv nadar ,gitam, gfit jharkhand, the places were either far or my parents were not willing to send. in one fo the college the desired branch was not being given. i joined through jee mains scoring 93.42 percentile.

Faculty

The faculty is really friendly and they patiently explain doubts to students. Faculties of mathematics and computer are best. The faculties of physics disappointed me. They are three rounds midsem(easy),internals(mid),endsem(hard).

Night Life

there is no night life in our college. there is availability of gym hostel timings close at 9PM there is amritsetu bridge,we also have lulu mall nearby. cafeteria is really good affordable prices and quality items are sold

Other Applied Colleges

GITAM | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year, project phases.
Fests, events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan, infosys, commandtech, bimlabs, gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Likes

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Comprehensive review of amrita Vishwa vidyapeetam - amritapuri campus:A blend of academic Excellence and campus life

When choosing a college several factors played a role in my decision to select Amma the Vishwa vidyapeethum campus from my cyber security program over other institutions applied to. Compared with other colleges I applied to 1. VIT Vellore 2. BITS Pilani 3. SRM institute of science and technology Amrita has an excellent repetition for its faculty in cyber security. The professors are experienced and have a strong academic background along with industry exposure which was highly appealing to me. Including well accepted cyber security lapse. These lamps focus on practical penetration testing ,network security ,and ethical hacking. Amrita amrutapuri is situated in a peaceful coastal area offering a conductive environment for studies the campus life is lively with several extra curricular and co curricular activities that I found very attractive. Wet Vellore and SRM also afford good campus life but were much larger in size and I felt amritas more intimate campus would be better for personalised learning....Read More
