Remarks

The college infrastructure is uphelding at a steady pace. Though being a government college you have diff economy status people so at times it gets hard to be around them . Although the college is graded A by NAAC

Course Curriculum Overview

5

It's progressive . The course is divided into 3 years compising of sixteen papers or modules . We also lab And we have annual exams with a selection exam before the annual. Other than the major maths paper we also have exams on general language and science papers.

College Events

5

Social life at college is variagated. We have political aspects. We have huge teachers day celebration where students perform for the teachers. We have a huge celebration on our foundation day and Rabindra Jayanti. The fresher's night organised by seniors are amazing . So is the Saraswati puja lunch.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. They are very nominal. Like even accessible to people with nominal income . It's about 1.5k every 3 months. Though you need to pay a certain amount before each Academic year. It can be paid in parts too.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college has a George telegraph unit that provides scholarship. To the students who have excelled in their courses but doesn't have enough money to continue the college grants them concessions and well as free tuition.

Campus Life

3.5

The labs are well equipped with proper collection of items needed and a skill full lab assistant. The sports faculty is amazing with a cricket and football team and definitely a sports grant. We indulge is singing , dancing , art and photography workshops along with self defence.

Admission

I had to fill out a form with my result details. They had a criteria to be matched. They released a list of the most eligible students. I went in for orientation at a given date. The teachers matched our documents with the information we provided. Stamped our marksheet.

Faculty

5

The faculty is well educated and they make learning easy for us . We have different professors teaching different parts of our courses but all the professors are equally helpful to us. They provide us with necessary notes and answer.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
