It is a very tough course.hard work is very essential.we have to study every day every hour.coming to exam structure it is based on non semester pattern under mgr University chennai.yearly once they will conduct exam.

Placement Experience

Yes , college provide internship for one year period that means 365 days of duty, this is a hard working period as well as we can learn something.this is entirely different from 4 and half years what u have studied

College Events

Every year our college will conduct cultural events for 3 days.this will held in September or october.it will be a enjoyable movement and we also conduct yearly once sports meet this will held on April may months

Fee Structure And Facilities

Little expensive for food. It ranges 4000. -. 6000 per month for one individual candidate.college fees is feasible it ranges from 10000-15000 per year but food will be ok but not at its best.

Hostel Facilities

Yes I am. In hostel only, it was also not at its best but it is ok not bad maintenance of the hostel is good 24 hours water supply available electricity also available.

Yes alumni of the college was very nice and offcourse seniors of our college is also very nice they interact with us very easily.

I got admission by my cut off mark which was 199.25 out of 200.i went to Kilpauk medical college Chennai for counseling and I got seat in Thanjavur medical college and I joined in this college on July 3,2014

Faculty

Good, excellent, teaching was out standing based on clinical side and non clinical side ,the supportive staff are so good ,they will help us. In clinical side, atmosphere of the college wast excellent

Tagore Medical College from my POV

Likes

The college has a very dedicated set of faculties who are very supportive. The faculties are easy to approach and very friendly. Every faculty is well experienced in their subject.
The college not only focuses on our academic development but extracurricular activities. There is a huge cricket ground in campus where we can play sports. There is also a college band.
The library is open till 8 pm. The library has prep ladder tablets which students could make use of.

Dislikes

The infrastructure could be a little more developed

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our curriculum is CBME based curriculum. It is more clinically oriented. We get to answer questions only after diagnosing the clinical case based questions. It focuses more on practical knowledge rather than just focusing on the theory part. It makes us ready to handle patients.

Many extracurricular clubs are there like Im in the fashion parade one.
Air conditioning facilities is avalaible jn almost all lecture halls
College is near to the metro and electric train stations making it easy for travels

Dislikes

Continous tests makes us uninterested in the subject.
Monotonous way of talking inevitably leading to us sleeping in class
Boys and girls cum activities are less leading to less interactions

Course Curriculum Overview:

For my medical field i feel some subjects are unnecessary in my view point like the community medicines. I feel anatomy weightage should be more compared to buochemistrand physiology. I would like them to improve the chapters and remove chalters that are unnecessary so that we medical students can concentrate on whats inportant rather than studying everything and stuffing our brain.

The atmosphere is so clean, infrastructure is much better when compared to other pvt. Medical institutions
The teaching faculty are good and supportive the labs are well equipped
The college encourages many sports and celebrates all festivals

Dislikes

The college is very strict with the dress code
Could improve the food in hostel and canteen
Does not allow outing for first year girls

Recently we have adopted CBME curriculum which is competency based medical education Since then the course has become a bot difficult and its necessary for making good doctors who are going to deal with life and death in the future

This college is very much strict in many aspects, like no talking between boys and girls
Compulsory temple visits during exam times and Pooja during exam times
There will be no entertainment like culturals, workshops and events

I liked the campus life. As all of us have come from a stressful exam it's just fun to enjoy
I like the anatomy subject a lot . Cuz the faculties make the subject more interesting
Seniors here are so helpful and help us in any kind of situations.

Dislikes

Not all the faculties are teaching the same way.
Some people can misguide you as we are totally new here

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is well known for its complexity. It's so hard to understand in the first go. We will start to realise that 12th was just an ABCD. This not something impossible with patience and intrest it's easy to learn. Every month we will be having internals for each subject. It would be hectic but fruitful. Don't always street about academics there are lot of beautiful things to gaze at also.

Remarks:

The medical college and hospital is at Mundiyampakkam village, Villupuram District. Being located at a village, the medical college focuses on maintaining good health of rural people. There are 1100 beds which are used by patients. 650 beds are used for teaching and 450 beds are used for other medical purposes. Being close to nature, the college is surrounded by greenery. One can get fresh air and healthy environment easily. However, the city is a little bit far away.
