Course Curriculum Overview

3

The main courses of my scope are pps, dsa, daa, oops etc. They really helped me to improve my decision making skills and improved my thought process. Before that I used to think in one possible manner. The exams conducted here are of medium level difficulty but prior preparation would definitely help you to get some good grades.

Placement Experience

3

From the third semester onwards the students are eligible for applying for internships. Many companies visited our campus like vaasarlabs , way2news , jindal steel , radha tmt etc. I don't have an exact idea of the package but it would be around 8-9lpa. Every year almost 60% students get placed. If I would not get placed then I would try to apply for off-campus placements or try to learn some new skills to better my resume.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the starting two years i.e., for intermediate 1st and 2nd year, the yearly fees is 36000. For the next four years the yearly fees is 40000 each. Till now there is no increment in the fees. For the first admission, they took around 4700 for medical, caution deposits etc. My fees are paid by the government through scholarship.

Campus Life

4

Provided there are many clubs like nss , ncc , ecell , spic-macay , hope house , code club etc. There is a provision of digital library where we can access the internet and refer some lectures for academic purposes. Various sports are played like basketball , cricket , football. There are two ground. There are fests like tech-fests probably held in March or April months.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels here feel decent and moderate for the infrastructure built here. There's no registration for hostels they would be decided by the campus itself. There would be a bed and basic amenities. Mess here is average quality.

Admission

After completion of my tenth grade, I did not have much idea about which college I have to choose. So I started searching which would be better college and decided to opt for polytechnic colleges and I got a seat too. But through which exam I got selected to the polytechnic college by that exam I could also apply for rgukt also so I applied for this college too. But after two selection lists also I couldn't get selected in rgukt. In the third list I got selected. So I decided to join in RGUKT BASAR by cancelling my admission in polytechnic college.

Faculty

4

The faculty here feels like most of them teach very basic elements of the subject and leave whereas some of them are exceptionally great. The exam structure is semester wise and in each semester there are 3 mid exams and one final end semester exam. End sem is of 60 marks and mid are of 15 marks each out of which best of 2 will be selected and 10 marks would be given for assignment.

Night Life

5

There's a place called as hangout place where the students would like to have a chit chat and would be drinking tea for refreshment. There's a supermart where we can buy our favourite things like eateries and a bakery just beside it to buy the bakery items. But my favourite place is the canteen that is located below my hostel and I love the puffs there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
