Remarks

Sports is a good thing here in GNDEC For Technical knowledge i believe the college is not fit. Infrastructure should be improved. Too much pressure on students regarding studies For relaxation and fun of students the dont plan trips.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

Curriculum is just fine like any other institute nothing extraordinary but the importance they give to theoretical knowledge is not justified. I personally feel it's far better not to go to GNDEC. Because its more or less a wastage of time with no practical knowledge in the field you wish to work one day. More or less i feel it's just not suitable for people who have goals and aspire to become something good on the basis of the course they did fArom here.Exam structure is pretty simple like most of the other colleges, Monthly tests are there like 3 per semester followed by an end semester examination.

Placement Experience

1

I don't think the opportunities are much, Yes for IT and CSE graduates they are marginally good but for other streams graduates there are hardly any companies coming for recruitments, more or less you are on your own. I'm a civil graduate who got placed in an BPO at a pay of 25K per month which isn't a good one.

College Events

2

Sports Meet-Once every year Annual Functions-Once every year Technical event's-Numerous times in an year Folk events-Many times in an year. Other than that there are various small clubs who hold various events every week mostly for enjoyement.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is quite feasible but the level of college is not such that a person pays nearly 50K per semester so yes for a day scholar it should be lesser than that because the facilities provided by the college as such are not much so as to compensate half a lakh fees twice in an year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I dont have any knowledge about the any good scholarship or loan facility because i haven't found the need during my graduation years but I've heard somewhere there's a teacher student union who helps out students who are financially weak. Nadar foundation is a union run by a faculty member of our college.

Campus Life

2

Labs are fine, they recently have reconstructed a few so I'll say they work pretty fine with proper lab faculty. Whereas sports is also good. Regular matches are played. I for instance participated in inter college cricket championships. So I'll say sports faculty is pretty good.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel Infrastructure is terrible, its like poot people living in slums. No proper maintenance, no living standards. The washrooms stink. Improperly set up rooms. Nothing much for fun. Only good thing is Gym which I feel is marginally fine.

Alumni/Alumna

I have not experienced that yet but i have heard its really nice especially in countries like Europe Canada Australia and people contacting the alumni find the setup network really helpful for settling into a new country.

Admission

Its pretty simple, you got your 12th results followed by your JEE MAINS result, post that you apply to various colleges according to your scores. For GNDEC they have online as well as direct counselling and students can apply into various streams keeping in check the cutoff rank each stream has like for computer sciences the seats get filled up nearly around 2 lakh rank.

Faculty

2.5

I guess its more or less suited for students coming from various backward areas. They are well educated no doubt but the way the converse and their interpersonal skills are really bad. I believe for a college to be good the faculty should be helpful but here the faculty lives in another world of themselves.

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
