Course Curriculum Overview
I am in fourth semester, till now the course structure is relevant and we have got management subjects that help us for our development. We have ample practical classess, theory classes and case studies are also conducted. We also have workshops, actually full year we have workshops and events
Internships Opportunities
Internship is avaliable in India and Abroad Last year 12 students went to France with a Stipend of around 9 LPA with free accommodation. Some students also went to different hotels in India. Thsi year 24 students have applied and some students went to New Zealand with 18 LPA stipend in 6 months
Placement Experience
Students are given placements before the final year. A lot of companies come with Oberoi, Taj, Marriott and others. International Placements is done through companies who conduct online interviews, but i dont know what paramters they ask in interview. But placements is 100%. Placements in India is around 4LPA while International it is more than 12-15 LPA
Fees and Financial Aid
The Fee Structure is Rs 450000 and we pay 1200/- per semester for Exam Fee and this is the Only Fee Payable and no hidden fees. There are various Scholarship Fee from Government and from colleges. Scholarship are based on Merit Only Yearly it si 1,09,000 for 4 years Registration Fee is 50,000 and is included in 4,50,000
Campus Life
We have International Conference every year which is sponsored by Ministry of Tourism, GOI. We have annual Food Fest this time we had EuroPanier Food Fest. Every month we are having events, seminars, webinars. We have a huge collection of hotel books, i think its very huge. I have seen Journals (international and Indian) in library. All classrooms are having Projectors and AV rooms. We have sports 2 times a year and we have a huge sports area. We also have internal clubs of hotel management. I am also a member of Food production Club
Admission
This colleges is ranked first in West Bengal in Outlook, India Today and The Week. Also the placements are good and now in the last 4 years they are giving only International Training and International Placements with around 18 lakhs for Training in New Zealand and Placements in Hotel, Retails, Luxury and other areas
Faculty
There are 12 faculty for 200 students. Faculties are very good and have good experience in India and Abroad. They help us in all areas but are very strict. Dr. Sumit Biswakarma is one of my favourite faculties and he motivates us just like other faculties. Semester Exams are there per 6 months. Syllabus is good and we have 30 marks for internal exams and 70 marks for university exams. If uou cant clear exams you can clear in next semester.
Interview Experience
Yes, i had a Written Teat followed by Interview with Admission department and then by a HOD of Hotel Management. General Questions followed by English Communication i what i think they look for in a student. Rounds were good, no need to prepare just give your best.
Night Life
We have Gym but it is not available if you are a day scholar after 6pm. Library is open for a long time and class timimgs is from 10-5 pm. Its a big campus and lot of eatiers are located like nescafe and other food joints. There are lot of eating places out of campus. The area is very safe and it is located near to Shibtala Temple which is a 12th century temple.
