Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Civil is the best branch of Nit Srinagar as per previous data and the curiculum of civil was also good they use to take us on site visite for the real world experince the professors was also have deep knowledge of subjects and even the professros also worked in real world even as per technology evolving they use to perform presentations also which takes out stage fear of students and develop a very nice skill of pesentatio which is very impotant for todays world to improve the curicullam they must have to introduce the new technology in books, they use to conduct to exam in each semester mid term and end term which was good.

No campus internships were availabe in instituete students have to find there own interns ya but professors help to get with there network and refrence in the last year of college there is compulsary project which helps to show what you learned and impliment in real life.

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

As i am sc student mine complete fees is waived off but still there was a registration fees of each semester which was 3100 Rupees . apart from tution fees mine each semester hotel fees was 6000 Rupees and mess charges was 20000 per semester and at the time of admission they tooked some deposite which was refudable and the amout was 6500. the student s from other cateogrys have diffent fees according to their parents tax slab. and i got a scholship from central goverment of India named Top class sc student on the basis of mine jee main percentile the amount of scholarship was 4000 per year.

Mine overall experience with mine campus life was too good i made very nice friends traveld the whole state and lerarned alot of things and the city was to good as we says its like heaven on earth in my college there was two fests to held one was tech fest by the name of Techvaganza and the other was cultural one and there was a Libray in mine clg which was quite decents to read novels,newspapers and other books evern our clasrooms were also very equiped by degital boards and ac and hearters even sports facility is also there like cricket kit , fotaball , vollyball, bedminston and indoor games to and Indoor and out door gym was also there to do physical exericese some of clubs was also there like drama club , Music club etc.

Hostel facility was not good they use to keep 4 to 6 persons in a room till 3rd year and even in 4 year also they use to give sigle room to few students only on the basis of cgpa even in 4 persons room also there is no proper arrangement of table-chairs and almira. the meal quality was to low no taste was ther in theri meals and the meanu was also to uneven. Registration process for hostel was easy and smooth . The locality for renting a room or pg was not good because of religious dicrimination and local-non local issu.

I got this college on the basis of councellign held after jee main result before this i got Natinal institue of technology Megalya i left that beacuse of non permanent hostel facility and bad reviews from the seniors and the distance from mine hoemtown sikar(Rajasthan) even many good engineerig colleges was there in mine list but because of mine less marks in jee main and advance i am unable to get them (example : nit silchar, nit Wrangle, nit Trichy etc) but over all mine college was good according to Enviroment conditions and other parameters and the admission process was very smooth just you have to verify your documents .

The faculty of mine college was well knowledge and highly degreefied from well known Universities and their behavior towards students was very friendly and supportive, mine sturctural engineering faculty i like the most beacuse of his kind bheavior and simple nature towards students even he helped me and mine friends after class also but i dont like one of mine geotech facutly because of her rude bheavior and arrogance. In each semester there was to exams mid term and end term accordingly the level of question paper was also quiet decent even 10% fail to pass the exam.

Night of mine college was too dull there was no night cafeties even in day cafs was alos to low standard the in time of campus was to early it was 8 pm and for girls it was 7 pm even after 8 girls can not walk in college campus also even cafeterias also closes at 10 pm so over all night life of mine college was too dull, Hostel was also not good they use to make stay four peoples in a single room was to massy and unprivate ya but out side the campus there was good places to hangout like dul lake, lal chowk and many other gardens like : nishant garden , pari mahala , Mughal gardent etc and mine favourite shri shankaracharya temple.
