Course Curriculum Overview

1

It was relevant for most of the part but the teachers focused more the irrelevant ones. The teachers were never interested in anything practical and in 3rd year where most classes were allowed to choose their interested topics we were restricted from doing so because it would've been hectic for the teachers and they had to do extra work. Not much practical usage was taught to us our projects were treated like kindergarten fun activities even teachers weren't had no idea what we did they only checked how the projects looked and not it's contents.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm talking about my time in SRM then the fees structure mentioned in most places was 2lakh but they hid the 35k extra for book fees and an useless career development course(cdc). The tuition fees remains the same which is 2lakhs the book and cdc fees in 3rd year was 30k, 15k each and in last year the total was 25k 15k for books and 10k for cdc. In my time the hostel fees were 150k for ac 3 sharing, 152k for ac 2 sharing and 210k for ac.

Campus Life

1

The campus life was only good because of the friends I made there we used to sneak out sometimes but the actual fun was after we left hostel in PG. There were not much restrictions and we could stay out for as much as we liked. There were abundance of things we could do and and places we could go. There's only one official event it's calls Tech-sas SRM Ramapuram's biggest event it goes on for 2 days one is a tech event and second day it's a fest where there's a concert in the evening which only has hype and not the vibe that too even the students have to pay for the ticket and it's upto us to bring sponsors for the entire event.

Admission

I was a Covid graduate so most exams were not being held the way they are normally done among so I appeared for all the college exams as they were held online. Among all the tests I qualified SRM seemed the like the best option starting from fees, placement percentage and the courses they offered. The selection process was simple I had to appear for a test and then after qualifying the exam and online interview was held, then they asked for family details and the courses I could choose from with the marks I recieved.

Faculty

1

The faculty members except for a few weren't actually knowledgeable only a few knew what they were teaching and the even less were friendly with students. The hod was inaccessible to students he didn't listen to any complains by a student was always there to threaten them for irrelevant reasons. Our class incharge was a good person but he was restricted from doing few actions that many others were allowed to because he was more easily accessible to students and really tried to help them.

Night Life

4

There was no hangout place as such inside the campus but there were many cool places outside almost 4-5 gyms in that area, numerous number of cafes and restaurants the only place that offers any hangout experience was the cafeteria that too remained overcrowded most of the times. In our times the campus doors were open till 7:00 pm

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
