- No way that one can find a reasonable college than ours.
- Even though it's a tier-3 college, Internships were provided in Tier-1 firms.
- Small campus but an effective one as we don't just classes but moot court hall too.
Dislikes
- Not a single moot event was organised at our campus and that's disheartening.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have absolute to zero idea on what is taught at tier-1 colleges as our cours hae everything and was taught to us in similar manner too. So, nothing to be changed as if anything can be changed it has to be infrastructure as rest all is quite good here.
Internships Opportunities
It was ASA and Calcutta High Court top law firms where nearly half of our class interned after 3rd year. One though has to try and also work hard as most internships were done without any stipend as in law only a few firms pay stipend.
Placement Experience
JSA has made tie-ups and also ASA department too has made available for our college as 24 students from our batch were placed at their office with a salary of 18000 a year. They were chosen after they did intenrship over there and thus those who proved their mettle were hired by them.
Fees and Financial Aid
South Calcutta Law College is Calcutta University's top law college and yet the fees is just 9800 a year. The Bengal Government provides special scholarship to minorities and girls and therefore most student education is almost free here.
Campus Life
Not many fests or events as at our college it was more about determining of study so we have more of academic facilities. The best is our spacious classrooms as all four floors have equal number of classrooms and ground floor has the moot court hall. It's just a building with around a parking space of 30 or around that 2 wheelers.
Admission
I applied at NUJs but CLAT score and then obviously the kind of fees that they charge was way more than my single mother could every afford. Hende, I chose this college as fees was law and admission were also based on 12th score.
Faculty
Calcutta Universities best prodigious professors and also NUJs professors have joined over college as government college students should get best professors to learn from. Whoever made this move has done the best as I am so happy that i learned law from some of the best in business.
Night Life
Eco park and Rabindra Sarovar Lake are the ones as I am not into gymming and running. Also, the bus stop was just 100m or less from our campus and that was high I used to come and go back home from our college.
