Likes

The overall experience will be good.The faculties are good. The guide us in any problem.
The placement service are quite nice.very less company come for hiring.
The campus is small.there is no hostel and no canteen in the college.

Dislikes

Campus is very small. There is no extra curricular activities in college.
No hostel and canteen in college .we have to go out from college for lunch .
Some of the facilities are rude. Like they don't advise nicely

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose BCA .The exam and timing of exam is not difficult. They only ask questions which they teach you in class .No out of syllabus questions were asked. In this course they teach you coding which is very helpful in getting jobs in IT companies.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 480000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

In the first two semesters the fees of college will be 75000.In next two semesters that is in 2nd year your college fee will be 80000 and in last year your fee will be 85000 in two semesters seperately. There will be EKalyan form for OBC/sc/st categories which will provide you the scholarship after applied from college ERP.

Campus Life

There are different society in college which is run by students and guided by faculties of college. The society organise different events for students but you have to attend class at the same time if their time collapse. There are sports club in college which organise outdoor games for students but only in fest. All the books are available in the library. You will be provided library card through which you can issue books.

Admission

I choose Birla institute of technology mesra,ranchi because BIT is a big name itself. I accept the fact that there fee structure is higher than other colleges but there faculties are good. There teaching methods are good. Professors are friendly. The admission process is you have to go on official website of BIT full the application form and wait for your name in the list . You must have above 50% in 10th and 12th for eligibility .

Faculty

The time when I joined the college, the boys and girls section were seperated. Girls and boys each have two sections that is A,B for girls and C,D for boys and each section includes 60 students.Every semester our faculties were different for different subjects. Personally I like Siva Mitra, Aparna Shukla, and Binod Kumar Sharma ( BKS) .They guide us in every problem and also teaches nicely.Their way of teaching are good. There are 4 exams in a semester . 1st is quiz for 10 marks, and mid semester exam for 25 marks, then again quiz for 10 marks and end semester exam for 50 marks and 5 marks is for assignment ( For theory subjects) .And for lab subjects the exam pattern is same but marks pattern is different which includes 30 for viva also and assignment .

Night Life

There are many gyms, cafes outside the college where you can enjoy yr college life, enjoy with friends and make memories. Library is provided you inside the college where you can also sit for hours and do group studies with yr friends. There are no hangout place inside the college but you can enjoy outside the college. There are many malls, cafes, restaurants, clubs which are safe. There are no hostel inside the college but there are so many hostels outside the college nearby within 500m . There closing time depends.

Good for BCA without any tension and issues all things on time.

Likes

The college organizes great cultural events like the Navotsav fest during Durga Puja and the Roshni event for Diwali.
The faculty members are genuinely approachable, friendly by nature, and always ready to help students with their academic problems.
The campus infrastructure is quite good and provides a very decent environment for students to study and hang out.

Dislikes

The curriculum focuses a bit too much on theory; the college needs to prioritize providing more practical, industry-relevant knowledge.

Placement Experience:

To be honest, campus placements are quite low, and I don't think we can easily get placed directly from the college. Barely 40% of the students (or even fewer) get placed through the campus drives. However, if students practice coding and upskill on their own, they can secure off-campus placements by their second year. Because of the limited BCA placements, my personal plan is to pursue an MCA degree right after graduation.

Honest Review

Likes

At the starting phase of college , we have a beautiful campus (which is not ours actually , its on rent ) loacted at Namkum, Ranchi. known as JUT campus, but after that things are not good.
Some what I liked the sports culture, but we don't have any sports Club yet.

Dislikes

Placements(actually there are students who are the coordinators for the placement group , there is no any particular advisor or any TPO head is there earlier...now there is one TPO coordinator but things are becoming worst there.
No grounds for any sports, we don't have badminton court indoors, so we have to wait for wind to settle before we can play outside.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually my branch is Electronics and communication engineering but my major interest lies in development area , i have gained all the skills in my college by my own taking some guidance from the seniors as they are very helpful and supporting. Improvements in course curriculum could be like they have to basically add one more course or any training program to help students for making skills and teaching them for their placements.(apart of the course , i am saying not because i am from ECE department , its common from any branch student)

I like my college

Likes

I like their rules and regulation of college.
I like the annual sports, event, and cultural program.
Regular classes, labs, and time to time internal exams

Dislikes

Thing that I don't like is hostal cleaning, mesh food.
I think there is more rules and regulation for senior boys hostels.
From senior boys hostel they pass some comment to the girls

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the proper mindset from the class I chose to study btech. The areas for improvement in the course curriculum are more labs to be conducted proper smart classes to be held.

Likes

Environment of the college was good for girls
This was only women's University so there was no girls to boys ratio
In first structure was not so good as ladies toilet was not clean and good

Dislikes

No placement was there core companies never come
Faculties were not at all good and they are not at all cooperative
No life facilities was their special for science students

As it was the course and curriculum designed by government so course and curriculum was good areas of improvement should be infrastructure and lab practical methods should be improved specially for vocab vocational courses

Review of BITD

Likes

the greenery of college campus is very nice
the environment of the college is very good
college library staffs are very well behaved

Dislikes

the faculty is not up to the mark , u will not be satisfied by their teaching
student intake is very very less so you will experience less competition
the college campus is beautiful yet very small

Placement Experience:

yes campus placement is offered . the average package is about 7 to 8 lakhs in C.S.E , the placement rate is about 90% for which above 7.5 CGPA is required . The placement rate for E.C.E and E.E.E are also decent .

College and my life as different aspects

Likes

The cleaness and the professor of the college and the campus
College has provided different uniform for the different departments
All departments have their own class and building all the labs are provided their for practical

Dislikes

College didn't have a proper regulation for all departments
College didn't conduct class every day or it didn't have a proper schedule and students are also not interested in classes
I think college have to provide scholarship for all categories and same for all the departments

Course Curriculum Overview:

The professor of the college aree well qualified but the regulations are very low the teaching process is good but the classes are not continuous and the students are not interested their are very less department which hav their proper schedule and in my major paper class are only proper but the AEC papers and minor paper never conducts a single class for students

Academics and faculties and professors ..
The classroom .. and SGD classes .. and our academic building
Our stadium , our campus , our hostel and our ground

Dislikes

Lack of water filter instead we have to pay for water
Lack of canteen ( common ) for boys and girls
Lack of coordination between different departments

Course Curriculum Overview:

The current mode of our curriculum is CBME based that is competency based which has lessen the quantity of syllabus of mbbs course . This made the work of professors easy and the we as a students easily understand any topic and is easy for us in exam too .

Best nature of the faculties and their nature is also very humble
Laboratory were too good and much more space
Class were also very very good and hygienic neat and clean

Dislikes

Canteen food was not bad but their amount should be very shorter
Parking area is small but manageable to park the vehicle

Placement Experience:

Many students were selected in the placements in the last year good good companies were offering and the best thing is to be the college were very helpful regarding to the students placement some companies like Casper pharma etc their pay scale should is to approx 2lakh per annum.

Experience of an undergrad

Likes

college have great environment good facilities needed as per requirements ,college also have good spacious hostels and we can say better food comparing to what i heard from friends of different colleges ,the evening time is soothing and relaxing
a great senior junior interaction culture and memorable friendships letting you forget the world outside the campus, every festivals are celebrated with joy and fun ,from leaving a family to moving to another one you would love.
some of lectures are quite boring but some will amaze you with visionary thoughts ,every faculty will guide you if they see you lagging behind the course ,some extra sessions are also conducted, introducing new fields to think out of the box

Dislikes

things which i wish might get some improvements are sports facilities big grounds for sports activities students encouragement towards co-curricular activitiy, co-curricular activities get more support to come out with glorious and imagining skills.
fests do contain fun but due to time constraints before fests planning of amazing activities becomes difficult thus leading same things going on repeating, absence of good team leaders leading activities plays major role in activity failure and bored
night out time is a small problem, the area close to college is developing hence not having nearby much places for fun and chillouts spending your free time relaxing.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is average as during 2023-24 it was recession period all over the colleges are facing placements lags but still college students managed to achieve 22 lakhs+ off campus as well as 16 lakhs on campus placement.The college reached his highest placement of 51 lakh during 2023 ,the average package is 5-6 lakh and the placements percentage are 85 percent for cse students,the students completing 7th semester are eligible for on campus placement drive as well as off campus,some of the prominent companies visited are Microsoft, cognizant, samsung, byjus,infosys and 50 more.I will prepare for gate and after that i will try to get on and off campus placements which i will find better accept the offer.

I choose this course because I'm interested in this that why I choose. All teachers and faculty members are PhD holder. Teacher are very good in behaviour and teaching. Exam are held timely accordingly to your semester.

BIT MESRA insights

I got a seat in NIT Patna during josa counselling mechanical branch but I considered bit mesra ece due to more industrial demand,better increment and big campus.Nit patna has very small campus but is located in core of patna but bit mesra has big beautiful campus but 16km far from ranchi JN which is inconvenient for travel. But bit got their own buses free for their students and staff. This college has better placement rates and %age than nit patna. Our college mainly accept students through JEE main exam. Cut off is available everywhere. There is one more admission process through state counselling available for category students.namely bc 1 and bc 2. Once you get a seat allotted through josaa counselling the college declared a date on which you have to come for document verification and on that day you get your hostel allotment and roll number. It was very crowded I can remember on first day of admission as lot of parents came on same day. Around 500 to 600 students along with their parents came on first day for admission.I came to college at 2:30 p.m. and ended up 10:00 p.m. during the whole process. I would say the management would not handled the crowd efficiently. No more seats for sitting for parents. Overall it was an average experience while my admission....Read More

Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra.
