Likes

I like the infrastructure of my college. College have provided us AC rooms with clean washrooms. Qualified teachers. Maintained decorum. Most important it is a government college.
Smart classes are available in every room. Cantens are available.
There are many labs for every subject either it's of EE, ECE, CSE

Dislikes

New college so there are no societies or clubs.
Fees is too high for general category students.
No facilities of hostel available in our college

Course Curriculum Overview

I am an Electrical Engineering student. I chose this course because the demand for skilled Electrical Engineers is high leads to job security and also we can keep our options open for other fields by choosing this branch.

Class Size: 48Course Fees: INR 224000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I took admission in this college in 2024 so I paid 240000 that year and this is a government college. Every year 5% fee increases. This fee is for general. Other students who are having EWS they have to pay 50% of this total fee. Single girl child also have relaxation of 50% fee. Orphan have to pay only 10 rupees as a fee per year.

Campus Life

Our college is new so there are not many opportunities for clubs and societies but we are in Delhi University so we can go for the opportunities in other colleges, we can attend event in any college of Delhi University by showing our I'd card. The social life in Delhi University is one of the most defining features. With students coming from every corner of India and from different socio-economic backgrounds, the campus is true melting pot of culture, ideas, and perspectives.

Admission

I chose this college over other colleges because this is a government college and it is under Delhi University whose NIRF ranking is very good. Also I was getting Electrical engineering which is a nice branch to flourish our future. I don't wanna go for private colleges because in those colleges there is no guarantee for a good placement and in other government colleges. Secondly, I looked at long-term career outcomes. L I didn't get Electrical Engineering branch I was getting a lower branch for which I don't want to pursue. There is high demand for electrical engineers and also I like physics which is used in the subjects of Electrical Engineering.Also I wanted to experience the life of Delhi University people.and there are also many other opportunities we can go for. Studying in Delhi University means you are not just in a university, you are in a ecosystem. The student body is incredibly diverse, with people coming from every State in India and many countries around the world. This exposure to different cultures, languages, and perspectives in an education in itself. Also Delhi University is famous for its dynamic and energetic campus life. So I decided to come here and experience something vast and new.

Faculty

Faculties are qualified. They teach well and mostly they are available when we need them or we can email them regarding any issue . In our college mid-sem exams are held in September - October which are of 24 marks and end sem in December for 1st, 3rd, 5th semester. Assignments and internal test and presentations are also given by teacher for internal marks. Practicals are held before end sem.

Interview Experience

We have to give JEE mains and join the counselling for the admission in FOT, Delhi University. JEE mains exam is one of the biggest exam. We have to pass this exam with atleast 95%ile or above for general category

Night Life

My college is in North Campus of Delhi University. It's common to see students taking late night scrolls, cycling. The area is relatively safe and crowded. There are many gyms for the college students to join in affordable price. Some of the places or areas famous are like Tom Uncle Maggie point near Ramjas college in North Campus

Likes

Placement was among the best and most the top companies visited
Infrastructure was appreciable with no major shortage of laboratories
Senior-Junior interaction compensated the average faculty

Dislikes

Outdated curriculum negatively impacted the conceptual clarity
Too difficult to secure good grades due to strict marking
Mediocre support provided to student led initiative

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was evidently outdated and irrelevant to modern engineering challenges and could have severely disadvantaged students' learning outcomes. Although, interaction with seniors compensated this.

Here in Jamia the faculty is very experienced in their fields , they make you feel Engineering and not to just read books. there teaching methods are amog the top in the nation
the curriculum not just focus on your engineering but also focuses on your personality development.
the infrastructure itself gives you the feel of oldness and the reputation of the college.

Dislikes

one bad thing is its less availability of Hostel rooms .
there is a very strict rule of 75% attendance .

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

The professors in my college are very supportive
There is many opportunities in every field of engineering
No crowded place professors support in projects and guides you to get better placement

Dislikes

Hostel management are very low lack of room for home state students
Due to construction dust is flowing around

My college provide good no. Of placement and placement from 7th semester students are eligible for placement many companies come over for recruits highest package is 6 lakh to 80 lakhs above 6 cgpa students are eligible to sit on placement

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.

Canteens are the best in this college and food is hygienic
College infrastructure is good and maintained
Connectivity to this college is good just beside the college gate metro is there

Dislikes

Small campus size around 7 acres and large crowd
Library is really small ,there is not much space in library
Strict rules and regulations like you can't play untill 4 pm in the college ground

Placement Experience:

From the end of third semester students are eligible for placement. Tcs, accenture, Deloitte,amazon, samsung etc. Highest package is 42 lakh offered by Amazon. Eighty to ninety percent student get placed . I want to work in faang companies right now .

Fully solar energy used for electricity in Hostel and campus
Wi-Fi is working properly and fast all over the area.
Hostel and hostel mess are neat, well managed and hygienic

Dislikes

Sports facilities are not too well in this campus
There is zero spot of E- vehicle charging.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is newly introduced by seeing the upgradation of the industry by involving AI & ML in that work, this campus and course doing great work. There should be improvement in lab classes only and Exam are done easy to moderate level.

Exam is easy also and faculty is supportive
I love the main campus of university established in dwarka sector 10

Dislikes

Sub Campus area of dseu okhla 2 campus is very small .
Canteen and food is worst not good water fasciltiy
Management a little bit and registrar rude behaviour

I recommend for diploma course to persuing from DSEU university and btech from gb pant campus only this is best campus only for bachelor of technology in computer science engineering, placement is also good for this college

Although the college is only 6 acres but it is well maintained
You can find various benefits in the college by joining different clubs
Faculties are passed from prestigious universities like IIT, IIM, MIT etc

Dislikes

College is not big so you can't explore In the college
There are no air conditioners in classrooms so It feels really hot in summers

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about placement because I don't want to sit in the placement drive of my college. Like I told earlier also that I have interest in electronics, so I want to do something in that field. If I want then I will give GATE exam after 4 years of my college so that I can get a chance to do MTECH in vlsi.

The campus life is great, with may facilities for the students
The social life and culture in the campus is great
The qualification of faculty is good and the research environment is great

Dislikes

The course load is too much and it sometimes becomes too hectic
The hectic schedule doesn't allow some students to follow their hobbies
The course is too much theory based and doesn't allow self learning of the students

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is excellent. With the average package being 1500000. Many companies like, BCG, McKinsey, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, and Credit Suisse come for placement. Almost all the students get placed. I plan to go for higher studies after the degree

Faculty of Technology, Delhi University North Campus

Just like any other engineering student, the goal was always cracking an IIT. Apart from the JEE Mains and Advanced Examinations, i appeared for a few private institutes as well like BITS, VIT, MIT, KIIT and also for the MHTCET Examination for the engineering colleges within Maharashtra. I lacked preparation for the Advanced Examination and thus couldnt secure a rank good enough to crack the top 8 IIT's. I finally settled for the Vellore Institute of Technology, Bhopal Campus with Core Computer Science Engineering. The entire admission process was complete but I decided to withdraw after i was allotted a seat here in the Faculty of Technology, Delhi University. The major parameter for comparison was the location followed by the level of exposure and the scope of opportunities offered. Moreover, the restrictive environment of VIT was a deal-breaker. The admission procedure to FoT was relatively simple. They take admissions on the basis of the rank an individual secures in the JEE Main examination. FOT DU - A chance?

I choose this college as i got fees remisssion here. The Delhi University also has a very reputed name . Hope this college will prosper in future. For applying in this college you have to give jee mains. I also got selected in DTU but can't take admission there because i can't allocate fees for that. One reason I opted for this college is the name and brand of the University of Delhi . Also the location . Since the FoT is new , there is a proud of being in one of the first batches. I was getting UIET Chandigarh , Punjab University which above average .
