Course Curriculum Overview

3

I liked this biotechnology course in degree(Bsc) and i wanted to continue this course with higher studies. Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

Fees and Financial Aid

The entire college fee for my college is 20000 rupees for 1 year.. my msc course duration is 2 year hence I will be paying 40000 rupees and this fee will not increase but I have to pay exams fee seperately for every sem. This fee structure is only for Scheme A students, those students who got the seat from entrance exam through their hard work

Campus Life

4

Annually we had main two events like freshers day and send off for seniors in our department.. other than this we had ethnic day, orientation programs and other events which depends on the festival or particular important days we had.. we had good classroom with systems and projector facilities.. we also had sports events which includes most the main games and we can participate in that if we had interest

Admission

First of all i only applied for this course in my degree college and university of Mysore only not anywhere else.. because I only wanted this course in these 2 only.. I got seats in both of them but university of Mysore is better compared to my degree college hence I chosen this department.. for this university we have to write its own entrance exam and go through counselling to get seat.. the cutoff depends on particular category and differs for each one

Faculty

4

Some faculties were approachable and some were not.. In that I can say the faculty I liked mostly is kini sir and geetha mam.. and the total faculty were around 8 members. In a sem we had 3 exam C2, C2 and C3.. C1 and C2 were for 15+ 15=30 and C3 for 70 marks so total 100 for a single paper and it is similar to all subjects and to all the four sems

Night Life

4

The gym timings was only on morning around 6am to 8am and closed after that.. from my experience I don't think we had that good kind cafeteria, the food were not that great.. we had the best library in our campus, which is the biggest Library in Karnataka. We usually hang out in college ground and moulya bhavan

Admission is on the basis of an entrance test conducted by the university. I filled two separate forms for two different subjects and appeared for two separate entrance tests. Students are called for counselling based on their test scores.
