Course Curriculum Overview

5

Industry based curriculum makes us industry ready for corporate Application based teaching is done The areas of improvement are the way assignments are done (the old fashioned way) Frequency of exams is 2 exams per semester i.e midsems and endsems And the difficultly level is moderate

Placement Experience

5

From 7th semester students are eligible for placements , placement stats are top notch And if someone doesn't get on campus job , there's high chance they get a quite decent job even off campus due to the brand name of the college Companies like atlassian amazon microsoft are top companies with highestCTc being 85lpa offered to multiple students Average package is 20lpa And 60-70% students gets placed overall My plans after the degree are to pursue higher studies of continue my corporate job or even start a business due to the college's great alumni network

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is 325000 Rs avg Tuition fee is around 225000 and other costs are other fees The fees of other categories is Obc : 300000 average Sc / ST : 250000 average There are various scholarships available such as RS BHOLA and RAM SONI scholarships

Campus Life

5

Annuals fests like uphaar , engifest , techfest , yuvaan , sanedo take place every year with enthusiasm They are held in October November and March Facilities provided in classrooms are top notch , just not enough sockets for electricity in Academic block 4 Sports and extracurriculars are much focused by the college , ahvaan and arena are two big sports fests

Admission

I chose this college over other colleges due to good placement good alumni network and good faculty I applieed to NSUT and iiitd but both have an infrastructure worse than DTU and placement status of DTU are much better considering DTU is a very lineant college as compared to the other two and has good industry connections with industrial companies I was rejected from iit as I didn't clear jee advance but got selected in dtu as I cleared jee mains The admission process was done through jac counselling which was very convenient and easy

Faculty

5

Faculty to student ratio is 1 set of faculty to around 120-150 students and for first year students its 1 faculty set to 75 students Faculties I didn't like : Ms malti bansal due to ma'am not taking classes regularly Mid sems and end sems exams are there and around 2 in 75 children fail the exams and it's very relevant to the curriculum

Night Life

5

Gym is nice , cafeteria serves good food A lot of fancy cafes are there Like dominos bistro 57 dosa plaza which serves great food Hostel and campus last timings are 10:00pm And famous hangout spots include the raj soin hall, OAT , mini OAt, amul lane , sports complex, locality to roam around safe at night is amul lane and OAT

Other Applied Colleges

Netaji Subhas University of Technology - [NSUT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)

I didn't opt for NSUT due to the infrastructure being dull and faculty being not so good

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

I would not suggest On Campus placement for this college as the placement cell is not very good here. However one can score a great package if they develop skills in the field of chemical engineering.
