Remarks

Positive remarks is that our college is private university. So it need not depend on any other board for their curriculum. Based on ongoing trends in industry they modify the curriculum. Placement opportunities are more in our college as industry collaborations are more. It has huge and pleasant campus environment for the students. It is situated in middle of the city as a result more transportation facilities. It doesn't have any remarks as such.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Our course curriculum is designed with collaboration with industry like Samsung. They are very particular regarding choosing the topics for the course curriculum. More priority is given for the topics which are needed for currently trending industry requirements.

Placement Experience

4

Our college has good track record in the industry field. When it comes to our department electronics and communications placement are almost 90%. As the number of companies coming for recruitment are more placement probability is also more in all branches. Our college does provide internship opportunities for students. Students should register for the internship of their choice and they will be awarded with credits in return after completing internship which will help in their further academics.

College Events

4.5

Our college celebrates many events in which 2 are more popular. They are PLEADIES in even semester (the main event of our college) and SAPPHIRE in odd semester which is inter departmental cultural competition. In addition to this there will be KALADEEVI art exhibition event. BUILDATHON , BUTTERFLY are other events where students can pitch their entrepreneurial ideas.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure for students who gets admission through entrance exam KCET is 19090(aided seat) and 56000(unaided). Admission through entrance exam COMEDK is 190000 and varies according to branch they choose. Admission through management quota is also possible. They should purchase seat by giving 5 lakhs at once and by paying fees same as COMEDK yearly.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college does provide scholarship and loan facilities to students. Students should bring Demand drafts from their respective branches with prescribed amount of fees by taking yearly expense bill from account section. Students applying for scholarships should bring necessary documents such as their previous year's marks card and produce the same before scholarship section officer.

Campus Life

4.5

Our college provides wide opportunities to showcase the talent of the student by providing many platforms for them. Events such as KALADEEVI for artists, BUILDATHON for entrepreneurs encourages students to bring out their talents. There are inter college battles for sports and extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I am a localite. So I did not opt for hostel. Since many of my friends are hostelites, they said that the hostel infrastructure and facilities are very good. The quality of food they prepare is excellent. They have designed variety of food menu that includes breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. 3 students can occupy one room. There is separate hostel for juniors (first year students) and seniors in order to avoid ragging.

Alumni/Alumna

President of our college alumni association is Sudha Murthy, co founder of Infosys, a tech giant. Many meet and greet events are arranged for students and alumni members where students clarifies their doubts regarding their academics and their future job opportunities. Seniors also do guide juniors during our regular ongoing classes and are very helpful.

Admission

I got admission through KCET, an exam conducted by karnataka government for admission for professional colleges. As I had secured good rank I got admission in this college in the first round itself.

Faculty

4

Our faculty members are well trained by the industry trainers in order to minimise the bridge between the education and industry for the students. They will be having reviews frequently during the academic year so that no faculty will remain irresponsible.

S-VYASA Deemed-to-be University School of Advanced Studies Collaborating with NIAT, Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Aug 13, 2026(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the NIAT curriculum around four out of five. In my opinion, it is good that the curriculum is not only based on theoretical studies. The inclusion of coding, projects, assignments, and practical knowledge is quite engaging for the students, as they can apply the acquired information in practice. Additionally, I find the curriculum up to date compared to the standard Btech syllabus, which mainly focuses on theoretical background. However the curriculum could have fewer assignments, as some of them are rather time consuming and require additional study to achieve a better understanding of a particular subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally, I was interested in ECE course since I liked working around chips and was intrigued by how they worked, which is what led me to choosing this course. The curriculum is not the best for real-world applications since the syllabus is pretty outdated. The teaching does involve smart boards and can be visual as well, but it can be utilized better by the professors. A semester lasts for around 5 months, with the last month only involving SEE (Semester End Examinations) and the first four months consisting of 2 CIE tests in the 2nd and 4th months. It also involves practical examinations.

Placement Experience:

The on-campus usually starts in 6th Semester. A company called MathCo was the first company it came for the role of analyst. Around 5-7 people got selected. The average package would be usually around 4-4.5 LPA, but highest package was 6.25 from PlanetSpark for role of Sales. The percentage is nearly to 10-12%. After degree, get a job and work for atleast 2 years for learning current trends is my basic thought as of now.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course I adopted since I couldn't do my neet. In 2nd year I thought of taking CSE . I GOT MANY SEATS IN OTHER COLLEGES FOR OTHER COURCES. But I wanted to adopt only CSE based . I mean social or economical or design thinking and scientific foundation.. these courses are of no use while learning engineering so this might be the drawback . Exams are conducted very strictly in our clg and I appreciate that !
