Remarks

Each and every student have only positive remarks towards the college. The campus is ecofriendly. The library is one of the largest libraries in kerala. The college administration is student friendly.

Course Curriculum Overview

This college is an autonomous college having its own curriculum. It covers current topics too. The curriculum is advanced. And the examination is on semester system. Examination is also advanced. Examination and curriculum are well structured.

Placement Experience

College have a placement cell through which many of the students get job. And the internship is only for some specific courses like industrial chemistry, MBA etc.Only some of the students received stipend.Others are paid internships.

College Events

Our college celebrates all special days. In the beginning of the academic year we have freshers day. Then we celebrate onam, vishu, christmas by its own tradition. Also college celebrate important days like science day, environment day etc. And we have arts day, sports day and college day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is according to government. Though for self financing course the fee is determined by college. Normally there is only semester fees and examination fees. And these are feasible for students from any financial background.

Fees and Financial Aid

There will be scholarships for meritorious students.This scholarships are enough for paying fees. Also we can use these scholarship for buying books. Also there are scholarships for economically backward students.

Campus Life

The unique feature of this college is that it provide more and more opportunities for extra curricular activities. Labs are well equipped and have modern device. Also there are research labs for science subjects. College is well known for its sports legacy. We have a basketball team of international standard. All these facilities are much good for students.

Hostel Facilities

I was in hostel. There is both mens and womens hostel. The rooms are allotted on sharing basis. Hostel provides excellent study atmosphere. And well infrastructured. Mothly around 5000 rupees should have to pay for both food and rent. I can assure that food is excellent.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Our college is stepping towards its century. So the alumni networks are very strong. And every year we conducts a grand alumni meet. The students who passed from this college are the real pride of the institution. These alumnus always contributes for the development of the college.

Admission

Apply through online in the college website. Selected candidates will be informed. Then produce orginal documents at the time of admission. Also at the same time of admission we should have to remit the fees.

The college faculties are excellent. Most of them are having PhD. And also they enchance research skills in the students. They have a unique teaching style which are based on projects, seminars, and group activities.

Experiences so far

Likes

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . Since I am still in my first year I have only experienced the initial part of course

Excellent college with good academics

Likes

Loved the college campus and academic approach campus is very vast and diverse provide good classroom environment
Teachers are very supportive and friendly to every student there
Management of college doesn’t torture students like in the other colleges

Dislikes

I didnt like the place where college is located that much
I think strictness can be little less in academic
It need to improve in digital teaching methods

I chose bsc psychology because i just love to comfort others and tries to solve their problems our college curriculum makes us not only good in studies but also real life experiences in everyday psychological situations and how to overcome that kind of situation

Balanced campus life and quality of education

Likes

The teachers were suppourtive and explained the subject clearly
The college campus was clean ,peacful and had a good learning atmosphere
The library and other facilities were useful for students and exam preparation

Dislikes

No placement were there so students had to took jobs on their own
Some classrooms and laboratory facilities needed improvement
More extracurricular activities should be arranged

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well structured and covered the fundamental concepts in all details .It included both theoretical and practical learning ,which helped in understanding the subject better .Internal assessment, assignments and semester examinations were conducted regularly.The exams were of moderate difficulty and manageable with regular study.

In our college, along with studies it focus extracurricular activities. Each year definitely some people selected for mg university youth festival and they got prizes in participating items. Kolkali is highlight of our college.

Academic excellence in a beautiful campus

Likes

Academic excellence is there. 90 % of students are merit based admission, those who have achieved 90 and above percentage in 12 th grade. So there is high passing percentage.
Cultural programs are regularly conducted. Don't feel stressed out by studies

Dislikes

Sports activities are not regularly conducted or encouraged
Chemistry lab is not clean, chemicals are not kept correctly

Course Curriculum Overview:

My favourite subject is biology. I have applied for zoology course but unfortunately there is no seats available at that time, so I chose Botany which is also my favourite. The curriculum is perfect and prepares for real world. More practical sessions are needed. Every 6 months there will be semester exam. Which is not that much tough.

Likes

The college has a peaceful campus with good infrastructure and facilities

Dislikes

Placement opportunities are comparatively limited for some courses
The campus rules are a bit Street and the rare fewer industry exposure programs
Improvement is needed in providing more internships and career guidance

The raging issue have in our college. And I don't really like that thing in our college.There may seniors get suspension because of it sometimes it's get serious that their parents will come. Its ok if the raging is for some fun and just asking but i
There is a thing that i don't like is that is the juniors can't participate in dance session for programs that occurring in our college. Only seniors are participating for it and also the dressing for some event are controlled by the Seniors. Buuutt
In college facilities there is not that much places for sitting during the intervals. That makes everyone bothered.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The course is available in private college therefore there must be fee. The admission fees for this course is 25000.and for those who take admission by management they want to give 50000.after that there is semester fees, which is 16000 for every semester.Our lab and tuition fees are including in this, exam fee we want to pay on the time of exam. In college competitive our course have a greater fee comparing to others. There is scholarship for the category's like SC, ST. Not know the exact amount of scholarship.

Campus has aesthetic beauty due to the fact that it was built during the British-era
Campus life is full of freedom and enjoyment, and lot of activities to do.
Many great personalities studied and had left a legacy untouched.

Waste management is poor. Require proper waste management techniques
Toilet conditions are bad. Some water coolers are not working

St.Berchamns College: Where Education Meets Opportunity

I chose not to enroll in one of the college near to the are that is Saintgits college due to its higher fees. Additionally, the facilities in the college as noted in variouse google review semmed less impressive.
